This book should be a bible for EVERY Dog Owner! What a cute and funny story. Helpful tips too! Great Christmas gift for dog owners!

When a dog misbehaves, the best defense - and sometimes the only defense - is a sense of humor. To that end, "Happy Tails" reminds us why we still love our pups even when they cause us problems.

The thing I like best about this book is that it helped me understand how dogs think. Plus it took a dry subject - dog training issues - and made it entertaining, both through text and illustrations.

I'd highly recommend this book to anyone who is exasperated by their dog and needs solid training advice as well as a few laughs.

Written by a vet, this is a clever and funny take on the usual pet care manual. The information is solid, there are lots of helpful tips, and it's an easy read. Highly recommended, especially for the new dog owner who's trying to figure out what the heck the dog wants and needs.

I loved this book. Being a new dog owner I enjoyed reading about Hank the dog and his adventures. Not only a good book, great tidbits of information through out the book to help a pet owner. Great read for any dog lover!

The cartoons made the book come alive and the information was useful and at the same time funny. Who thought dogs could talk? My Vet friend said the book was very informative and he has it in his waiting room at his Vet hospital in Hudson, WI.

Dr. Ailes knows puppies and seems to know what their thinking.

Funny, 1st person puppy stories with tips from a real doctor.

All dog owners should read it, and 1st time puppy buyers should own it.

Happy Tails - Hilarious Helpful Hints for Dog Owners, has been named one of three finalists in the 17th annual, 2005 Benjamin Franklin Awards competition for editorial and design, in the category of "humor." The awards are presented by the Independent Book Publishers Association (PMA). PMA is comprised of 3,600 independent publishers in the US and Canada. The finalists will receive a certificate of excellence; winners will receive the Benjamin Franklin Award trophy on June 1, 2005 at the ceremony held at the New York Marriott Marquis, New York City.
