This is NOT, I repeat NOT for the kiddies. That being said, if you like gore & unexpected ick, this is the best DVD out there.

I have to say, this was a speedy delivery. The DVD's was wrapped in plastic and showed no sign that it had been messed with. I loved every episode on the DVD since i had never seen them before which i thought was amazing because i tried to see each and every HTF episode that is out there. Its an enjoyable thing to watch with teenagers with a sick sence of humor or someone who isnt a tree hugger. There is mind animal violence in every episode, that is why i say that. Basically, this is an AMAZING product and cant wait to get the next few DVD's

Happy Tree Friends are not for everyone. Just those who are sick of the composite cuteness that goes with life in the modern world. I mean, who doesn't enjoy watching an adorable cute critter getting it's face stuck in a grinder only to have lemon juice splashed upon it, then wandering blindly over a cliff to be dashed on the rocks below. This is something I don't thrive on or live for but it is a nice break from the packaged cuteness that we all have to endure. My fave: "Party Animal."

WHY WOULD THEY MAKE SOMETHING LIKE THIS?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? I mean, it's almost as if they were trying to fool parents into thinking "Oh, look at the cutise animation! This show is PERFECT for my 4-year-old-very-easy-so-scare-and-scar-by-watching-ultraviolent-TV shows son!" Nevertheless, this show is just so well writen, and the way that they pull off the "jokes" in this show is sure to suprise you. My advice for this DVD (if you are over 16), go and give this to like your father or your uncle who likes crude humor and put a sticky-note over the case that says (to quote from Sonic Colors[for whom the Writers of this show also made] "This show is NOT for anyone younger than 12, and older than 13. It is aldo not safe for 13 year olds".)

If you like bloody and gorey cartoons, this is for you. This is a great show and tv series from mondomedia and it's hilarious and cruely disgusting, bit in a good and funny way :). I would recommend this to anyone who likes shows like family guy, south park, etc. 5*

Only part of the programme initally aired from this Canadian series, actually called 'Happy tree friends and friends', meaning, other animations of different characters are not included on this disc. Why release half the programme? 3 stars for the absence of the other shorts, but an amusing cartoon regardless. Ren and Stimpy style but violently cuter.

It'll only be fun for people who've never seen it before or for pre-teens and teenagers.
