Happy Yaoi Yum Yum Volume 1 (v. 1)

This is a successor of Yaoi Hentai series, and even more explicit. Easily, one of the most explicit yaoi (m/m) titles ever published in the US and sold via Amazon. Very hentai, very perverse, for very mature (18+++) audiences that like man-on-man comics. Absolutely no plot (with one possible exception of the last story). So, please be warned, and don't expect any romantic story (or any serious coherent storyline) here. Also, some stories are outright comedic / gag, which makes it somewhat less erotic.

The stories include:
1) Title story: Adventures of one character in a fantasy world where vegetables can get transformed into humans while "doing it". Comedic and very weird story, but weird not in a good way (at least, in my opinion). A big negative for me is that the characters are drawn in a traditional bishounen style, and look quite young (well, Yaoi Press does say "all depicted characters are 18 years or older"...). This is my least favorite story in the collection, and it might be "too much" / "too perverse"/ etc for quite a few readers.

2) A bunch of explicit drawings (a mini art-book), of varying quality. Some are really well-drawn and nice to look at, while some are not, and some again suffer from the same "bishounen" style as above. All black-and-white, of course.

3) The promised longest Trach tentacle monster story "Kemonini Forest" (kemonini are all those "furry" boys aka cat/fox-boys, etc). About 25 pages. I didn't like it as much as some other installments, again because some (but not all) kemonini were too young / "bishounen" - looking. Though, it still had a few really funny moments. The final scene with the "ram"-boy was the best :)

4) "Goldilock and Three Bears" story; threesomes, foursomes, etc, gag.

5) The story that made this purchase worthwhile for me was the last one, on two porn actors. One is supposedly straight, but when his gay colleague falls in love with him... There's actually some story here, which made sex scenes more interesting and erotic.

I can recommend it ONLY to the fans of Yaoi Hentai series, as those know what to expect from this kind of book. However, this installment was somewhat a letdown for me, maybe because it includes all new artists, and concentrates heavily on the aforementioned "bishounen" style. I'm no fan of "bara", but would prefer some more manly-looking characters. Also, this book does not have any bondage / S&M-type of stories that some of the previous Yaoi Hentai volumes had (though some of the "mini art book" drawings have some bondage). I'd give it 3 stars at most, but I respect Yaoi Press for bringing such explicit and really bold m/m titles to our current market, hence a higher / inflated rating. I hope for future installments, but with more mature- and manly-looking characters.

A repeated warning: if you're not familiar with Yaoi Hentai series, please do not buy this book before you read all the reviews on Yaoi Hentai series / maybe even try previous Yaoi Hentai books first (most are still available here, on Amazon), just to make sure it's something you're looking for. A lot of readers who bought Yaoi Hentai were disappointed as they expected something similar in style or aesthetics to Japanese mangas or Korean manhwas. This is NOT.

I'd actually stopped to check this out in a book store and put it back the first time. I was so very very tempted to get it but I decided to wait. I went back recently and it was still there. I decided it was a sign and had to have it. I was thrilled with my decision once i got home and read it.
I loved all the stories and the great pin-ups! there was humor in all the stories and they gave me that yummy yaoi feeling I believe you're supposed to get. ;D
I would recommend this to people who have a sense of humor and don't take offense easily. Hope this was helpful.
P.S. It's very hardcore at some points so there's your heads up.

Wow, they have gone beyond Yaoi Hentai and taken it to a whole nother level. This one was super porny, but also a better book than the Yaoi Hentai series. I say it's better because the art is really good. The shading brings you totally 'into' the action. It's drippy, full of moans and sound effects, full of blushing, and leaves NOTHING to the imagination. Seriously. Forget what you think adult-only yaoi is. There can not be a yaoi book out there more explicit than this one.

Ok, first off the whole book except maybe the last story was comedy. I loved this! The best stories in Yaoi Hentai were the funny ones like the Trache stories. Now it's all humor! Start with a Jack and the Beanstalk parody. Tentacle vines! WIN! That one page where he's all wrapped and strung out in the tentacles with his pelvis facing the audience and climaxing--holy crap that was hot! There's some really hot pin-up worthy panels in this story. It's got a freaking yaoi paddle in it too! I almost died laughing!

There was a bunch of kinky pin-ups from different artists. That was cool. I liked the one on the poker table best. These were ultra porny. Some were really good, like the fantasy ones with the fairies and stuff. It was like the pictures they have in the artbooks they put out except this time in a gallery in the book.

Next TRACH! I love this tentacle monster. And DUDE--trach got the tables turned on him with the bird boys. Milk flying out of my nose when he's got the rose floating there and tears and saying, "Oh no! My innocence lost forever!" This story was a RIOT! A riot with cat boys and lamb boys and stuff. I loved that fish going OMG with the merboy scene! Wai! The joke at the end with the voting phone number OMG! Try to use the bathroom before you read this. I was seriously laughing so hard I almost wet myself. Ceiling cat! Ahhhh! It was so funny. I think the art in this one was better than the other trach stories too.

Goldilocks and the three bears. Look at her frills! Bwa! This was another seriously funny one, also ridiculous. I mean one scene was set up by goldilocks (a dude in drag) saying "Nice shoes, wanna f---?" I've waited forever to see that line! It's the ultimate PWP line!!! ANd then in that scene you see a microphone in the panel. Like it's bad porn and they accidentally filmed the mic! Seriously! It was so funny. The story was like: We know this is total ridiculous porn. Just go with it.

After that was a story with two porn stars. I think it was the same artist as the goldilocks story. His art is really detailed and explicit. Anyway, one of the guys is a straight porn star who does films where girls give it to him in the back with hardware. The other one is a gay star with a crush on him. He's like, if you let the fake stuff in you, why not just switch teams? This was not really comedy because I got into how the gay star was angsting for the straight one, but you have to admit the scene in the bar was funny. I mean they make a bet that if he can get him off in a certian time then he has to let him do him, but then they start doing the bet right in the gay bar in front of everyone! One guy with a Sanford & Son hat and this skinny beard and mustache (like stereotype gay from 1970) is handing them the lube even! The bartender is feeling him up! I mean WTF! Get a room! It was very hot though. There were appendixes flailing around really realistically. HOT.

I just read the other review. I don't think they look young. They're not like kid bodies. They have the long torsos that older teens and adults have. I'm used to this type of art. It's what I expect in yaoi. They're going to look pretty. If they didn't this would be gay porn and I may have never even discovered it. Seriously, when you think about it, the only thing that makes this yaoi is that the boys are Japanese-style pretty. It's porny enough to be gay porn. Even so I still think it's good and I still recommend it. I mean, yes, I love good stories with meaningful sex scenes between characters who you care about, right? But I think it's ok sometimes to just laugh your butt off and get turned-on by pretty guys going at it like rabbits. I might not have been as into it if it wasn't so funny, maybe I would have. I don't know. This book is really, really, hot, and it's funny, and the art is better than what was in Yaoi Hentai. I think yaoi fans will like it. I loved it!
