4.0 out of 5 stars Works for me!
I have had great luck with my jump rope, and I've lost about 20 pounds since using it. My only complaint is that I wish it were a little longer, as I'm 6 feet tall.

The weights have really toned my arms and back. Jumping rope with a weighted belt is the most expedient form of exercise I have found. I can fit it in, even with a three-year-old...

1.0 out of 5 stars not as expected
I had been using the product no more than 7 times when the rope just broke. It was cut where the rope begins to emerge from the handle. The other end of the rope also showed the same type of tear as it appears from the hole of the handle. Now I check each handle after each and every exercise and by last inspection I noticed some pressed markings at the mentioned sites...

I got into it after reading an articlethat many CEOs jump rope because it's fast, and the rope is portable. I also read that Madonna jumps 300 reps a day (it's surprisingly easy to work up to that number - you'll be shocked how easy!).

Another setback is the difficulty in trying to straighten the rope before use.

4.0 out of 5 stars My favorite weighted jump rope, August 15, 2008

I'm a power jumper, love this rope, able to do rope turns and many Ropesport moves (google Ropesport for DVDs teaching you how to jump like you've never jumped before)...only complaint is that the rope wears out, that's why I'm buying two at a time now...I'm hard on my rope, so I guess it's a sign of fitness that the rope gives out before I do...but wish it lasted longer. Highly recommended .. both the product, and the exercise, 55 yo and never felt better...with right music I can keep jumping for an hour.

4.0 out of 5 stars Harbringer, January 3, 2008
Harbringer makes excellent products, this was definetly one of them. The weight of the rope is in the handles, which you can take some weight out or add some in. 2 pounds is the max though. For the price you can't beat it.

GOOD jumprope, the handle-bottom's screw on and hold 3-weights that add up to 1lb per handle. I'm not sure how the handles/screwing mechanism will hold up but i'm happy with them so far.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, not great, July 22, 2011

The weights in the handles made a noticeable difference in the effort it took to keep the momentum going. Initially I could only perform 1/2 of what I do before my shoulders or forearms were burnt out. At 5' 11 the rope was not too short, but perfect. The only draw back was that the rope itself broke on me after week 3. The hard, black plastic on the outside snapped in the center and revealed the cloth string. No biggy I just used electrical tape and it was has been fine ever since(5+weeks).

I haven't had the time to use this much yet, but it has been great so far. I did not see any of the problems listed by other users. The added weight definitely helps

Rope works fine. I regularly do cross jumping, and the rope seems to stay in good form.

$20 for this piece of rubber is pretty outrageous.
The interior of the handles has a spring that is glued by cheap glue, mine already fell off.

Overall, this is a good jump rope for $10-15
