5.0 out of 5 stars Compact and easy to transport
This was the first time I ordered such a product and love it. Its easy to carry to class and gives enough padding for my back problem. Since most exercise studios only have the thin Pilates mat, this gives extra cushioning and padding on most wood and cement floors.

3.0 out of 5 stars good cushioning, but a bit small
It is what it claims to be, but if there's a better alternative in a pad of similar thickness, go for the other one. If this one had been 6 inches wider and a couple of feet longer it would have been much more useful. With the 60in size it is a bit limited in what you can use it for. It's great for situps, especially if you have a bad back and need the extra cushioning.

I needed to do floor exercises for my back and this helps a lot. It is thick enough to be comfortable and folds for easy storage. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great mat!, July 3, 2006

VERY cushiony, and the covering is of better quality to any similar mat I saw in a sports store. I highly recommend it. I use mine only at home, it's a little big, but well worth it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Exercise mat is OK but not great, July 5, 2009

I bought this mat about 7 weeks ago. The mat is OK, not great. It works fairly well on a hard wood or tile floor because it is so soft and spongy but I prefer a firmer base to exercise on. If I had known how spongy it was, I would not have purchased it.

I have spent several sessions with physical therapy for back and leg pain. They suggested a mat for use at home to continue exercises. My son bought this for me and has worded very well. The size and thickness are excellent one can lay down and be covered from head to feet in comfort. Also easy to pick up and store behind the couch. since I was useing for exercises for severe back and leg pain I really needed that extra padding. A great product, and yes the pain is better.

This is a very nice mat for excercise. It is lightweight and easy to carry with built in handles. You don't have to worry about putting on or taking off a cover because it is part of the permanent design. The mat is thick and comfortable but not too mushy. The size is generous for most heights. I would recommend it highly.

I would have liked to know the density of the padding: Example: 1 through 5 - soft, medium, firm, extra firm, etc. The padding is on the soft side; it gave me some lower back pain, even on a semi firm surface. Also the mat could be a little wider and a little longer. I returned the item mainly because of the back pain. I wish amazon would look for a mat that is say 2 1/2 to 3 feet wide and 6 feet long with some firmness.

Very satisfactory. It's comfortable to use, easy to store and easy to re-setup. Also long enough to cover the whole body. Highly recommended.

2.0 out of 5 stars What padding?, September 6, 2010

I was disappointed with the ability of this mat to cushion my sitting bones while doing P90X (P90X+) ab routines. The 3/4" floor matting I use does a little better job, and what's the point of adding this on top of the matting if the padding immediately gives way when you sit on it? Padding needs to pad.
