I bought this to do fairly light reps with as I'm a small person (5'3") and female. I noticed that some of the other ankle attachments for sale on amazon seem to have been reviewed by giant people. I would say that this one is just right for someone on the smaller side if you make the attachment as tight as possible. It doesn't chafe at all. I am very sensitive and I was not bothered in the least using this - it doesn't scratch, there are no rough edges. The neoprene padding feels good. You don't feel the D ring against your skin. It feels well made and solid. I highly recommend this, particularly if you are on the smaller side.
The picture for this product is inaccurate as it makes this thing look kind of cheap and tiny looking. The real attachment looks much bigger and is substantial.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Use it to do leg workouts on the cable machine. It has comfy padding and is able to adjust on my small ankles, and you are able to make it bigger as well to adjust to your needs.

I recently had wrist surgery and can't lift a dumb bell with my left hand. The "Harbinger" cuff, allows me to still do all of my curls and tricep work. The "D" ring is heavy duty and the padded cuff is wide enough to not cause discomfort when lifting a heavy weight. I am totally pleased with this item and would recommend it to everyone. Pros: Comfortable, rugged and secure. Much easier to work with than leasther counterparts. We had a problem with the leather seams coming apart. The solid ring is large enough for any speed clip to snap onto easily. I am glad I bought it!

Metal ring gouges ankle,

If you're only going to kick your leg back and forth without flexing your knee and your attaching to a weight source that is easily controlled, this strap may still work well for you, but it's design is severely flawed for any real weight bearing exercises. The ring that your cable attaches to is much wider than the strap that binds the weight to your ankle. Okay only if the weight source only varies to a slight angle from perpendicular to the leg. For anything else, the weight against the ring forces it to dig, completely unpadded into the ankle. I've used it one time just for two sets of about 10 repetitions per leg, standing and flexing my knee backward and both my ankles are badly bruised. If the ring had been smaller, so that the cuff padding actually protected the ankle from it or if just a little bit more strapping had been used so that the ring were not directly against the cuff, this battering of the skin would not occur. Okay for the person who goes to the gym and uses such small amount of weight that they could easily do 100 repetitions (or get a better workout just ascending or descending a single flight of stairs) which admittedly seems to be most everyone I see working out, but worthless for any real muscle maintenance. I looked at all the other velcro straps since and they either have the same construction or are rated of very poor quality. Two leather straps each have a single 5 star review. Almost twice the price, but better to buy something you can actually use then to pay for something you can't.

I'm very pleased with the good quality of the ankle strap. I use it in a creative way as a wrist strap to concentrate on my deltoid when doing lateral cable raise. My shoulders feel nicely sore the next day after such workout.

Our gym no longer had cuffs available, so I ordered these based on reviews that I read on-line. Very pleased and would recommend. I use with about 90 lbs of weight and these work well. May be borderline for use above 100 lbs as they will rub against your skin.

Simple and effective. Neoprene is on inside of strap for padding the leg/ankle. Outside of strap is standard, non-elastic nylon strapping. Secures in place using velcro. End of strap simply passes through the metal loop and velcros into place, no doubling back. Because of this design, fit is as snug and exact as you want it to be.
I use it to work hip flexors (hook on to weight resistance behind me then raise leg like I'm running). I use moderate weight resistance and the padding is plenty to keep it comfortable, allowing me to focus just on the movement. I bought one to make sure it worked well. At this price, no problem buying a second to save me the trouble of switching it from leg to leg between sets.

Works as advertised. It is simple to use and very comfortable. I am tempted to buy a second one so that I don't have to switch them between feet.http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000KFTFLU/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title |
