Before buying this product I read dozens of reviews covering a multitude of crushers. In the end I bought the best. I have already crushed well over a thousand cans without a glitch. I would gladly recommend this product to anyone. My two recommendations would be (and I learned these tricks from reading reviews) would be to put a slight squeeze on any can before crushing. This helps the metal fold & prevents undue stress on your crusher thus extending the product's life. The second would be to lubricate the arms before using. After about ten cans the arms began to seize up and I could notice them angling to the side. I immediately sprayed a dry lubricant I had on hand (Elmer's Slide-All) and have not had a problem since. It moves so easy now that the handle just hangs down when not in use instead of staying upright. Unless you have an issue with space this is no problem. I saw a review where someone recommended grease but this can get messy so any dry lubricant should do the job. Hope this helps.

Just put it up today and crushed about 4 dozen cans that I was waiting on this to do. Had no major problems. I did find it makes it easier to crush the tall cans if I crimp them a little at the bottom before I put it in. Without crimping, or crimping at the top makes the can slide out before it is crushed. Solid metal construction seems like it won't fall apart any time soon.

I bought this late April 2014, Lubricated everywhere with oil and greese.
for easy crush, you always have to push the cans little bit with your hand before crush.
used this to crush roughly 10 Cans everyday,
One month of use, one of the Pin was popped out, I put a Hex wrench to the hole (temporary fix) for the pin and kept using it,
One more month later, not usable anymore, both side of top pressing part rail bent,
Never going to buy this crusher.
Recently I bought a "Pacific Fabrication 77702 Easy Crush Can Crusher", about twice more expensive but definitely worth it.

It works well on the big cans and the small. It is strong enough to last through the demands of a campground so is very good for a family. It arrived as scheduled shipped in the box it would sit in a store but was in fine shape.

My daughter bought this item because she has started recycling cans. She has only sued it 3 or 4 times. Crushing about 200 cans so far. I saw others had complained that the handle would bend. I think this can be rectified by simply denting the can a little with your thumb when you place it on the crusher. We did not have any problems with it being flimsy.
The screws that come with it for mounting are pretty weak, but we just used our own screws that were more solid. For the $10 or so you pay for this item it is worth the money.

So far this has been a very sturdy product. The handle does not always stay at the top, it tends to fall to the bottom. I suspect I just need to tighten something. I have not really taken the time to look though, because it is not that big of an inconvenience.

Bought it for my dad who works in metal fabrication of some extremely popular red machines you might rent movies from. He had nothing but criticism about its construction. It bent on the first can. Literally broke doing what it was designed for. Didn't even bother getting it shoved back into a box to return it just threw it in the scrap pile. Found a better one at harbor freight of all places if that can illustrate its crappiness.

Fell apart within a month but the parts are simple and easy to Krazy Glue if you, like me, unfortunately bought this. The handle would only rest in an upright position if we glued a magnet to the wall after the first week. The follow through on the can crushing hits the wall below with two sharp corners, so we also had to put a makeshift pad there after the first can left two dimples.
