Per Microsoft Service Tech Dept I was told none of these will work anymore unless they come directly from Microsoft!!! The new transfer cable will also have a DVD to alow it to work.
The new Update from 360 live renders them and all memory devices that are not from their sales people worthless (Everything previous Dec 2009).
I did not believe this so i tried to copy all my saved games on my Memory Max 2gig card over to my new MW2-360box and found - no go. It tries to read it but stops.

I bought this thing 2 days ago and it dosent help at all you need the disk in order to transfer any information and it was just a waste don't waste your money call microsoft directly and get one from them or just grind it out and slowly transfer everything with a memory card.

Transfer cable works perfect for modding or transferring and backing up. The key is, you have to know what you are doing. Everyone that has said that it doesn't work, they are just pathetic. They most likely expected their computer to recognize it and to be able to drag and drop like a normal flash drive. Hard drives for the xbox are formatted for the xbox not windows. So you need a specific program that will allow you to explore the drive, such as xplorer 360, xport 360, or modio, all of which are free. Google is your friend. As for the ones who said only products sold by microsoft will work, don't be so niave. All a transfer cable is is a cable, nothing more. I've been modding for a long time, and I know first hand that transfer cables work.

DON'T BUY THIS!!! it doesn't not work. you must get it directly from the Microsorft Store.

You can get this from Microsoft for $15! And they ship it within a week. The reason why Microsoft started charging for the transfer kit is because of ppl like this seller who want to make a profit off it. So save your $50 and call M$.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS JUNK!!! it does NOT work. PERIOD. You must use genuine Microsoft cable for data xfer to work. I bought this and learned the hard way. Wasted purchase.

Says transfer kit on the product page. Product I received was just the transfer cable (no transfer disc or instructions). Product on page is from Microsoft. The product I received was from a third party manufacturer. Don't waste your time ordering from here, go straight to Microsoft!

This is not the Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer kit. This is a data transfer cable. The cable is a microsoft product but the software that allows you to transfer the data from your old HD to a new on is not included. The software they do include is a Computer program that allows you to transfer the data on to your PC HD and the transfer it from your PC onto a different 360 HD. The problem is that by doing that you run the risk of making that HD unrecognizable to you Xbox 360 since you used 3rd party programs to move data.

Microsoft does sell a tranfer kit on the microsoft website and is 14.99

not at all what i expected..it took so long to find the software for this item..they sent a small card with it with a website that i could download the software from, but the website barely even worked.it took forever to get the software..this is by far the worst transfer cable ever..they could atleast have the software with the cable instead of people having to go through hours of trouble downloading it..this kit is almost 20 bucks but in my opinion isnt worth only but 5 bucks unless software was included
