Not what you're looking for., April 18, 2007

I've been on a quest for 70's songs that I grew up with. Unfortunately, most of the songs are "One Hit Wonders". This fact makes getting the songs difficult. "I tunes" helps but, there seems to be a rash of "re-recordings" of these songs that I love. Even though the songs are re-recorded by the "original artists", they don't have the same sound and warmth. These "re-recordings" may have better sound quality but, they just don't cut it for giving me that same feeling that I remember. Be careful when ordering CDs of older songs these days. It is often not described that they are NOT the original recordings but, "re-recordings by the orignal artists". If you're looking for those songs from the non-disco 70s and you want authenticity, this is NOT the CD set you want.
