Great writing about the outdoors,

The title of this book is a bit misleading, as Hard Head doesn't feature in many of the stories. I was expecting a book of hunting and fishing stories, and for the most part I was satisfied. The book started out strong, but then much of it was about canoeing, which while I enjoy wasn't something I wanted to read about. I slogged through, however, and was richly rewarded by some very poignant stories about hunting and bird dogs. A great addition to your outdoor book collection.
