Roger Pond is a former county extension agent, syndicated columnist, and backyard sheepherder, who lives near Goldendale, Washington. Reared of a dairy farm in Ohio, Pond holds degrees in agriculture education, and wildlife management from the Ohio State University. Roger and his wife have two adult children.

Growing up in a small town like the author, I can relate to his stories. A great storyteller, Pond captures your attention, leading you down one path, only to pack a joke not seen coming. Thanks for the short reads...

I really enjoyed parts of this book, which is really a collection of essays on life in general, but the author often rambles, in search of a point, and while portions of the book are enduring, some of it must be endured until another good essay pops up.
