This book was purchased with another simular book for a friend. It is a series of short stories. She reads them to her granddaughters and says they also enjoy them

Good and entertaining, but often rambling commentary on life
I really enjoyed parts of this book, which is really a collection of essays on life in general, but the author often rambles, in search of a point, and while portions of the book are enduring, some of it must be endured until another good essay pops up.

Growing up in a small town like the author, I can relate to his stories. A great storyteller, Pond captures your attention, leading you down one path, only to pack a joke not seen coming. Thanks for the short reads...

Pond has down-to-earth sense of humor. If Erma Bombeck had been an extension agent she would have written books like Roger Pond.
