This review is from: Hard choices: Critical years in America's foreign policy (Hardcover)
Cyrus Vance's memoir does an adequate job of telling the story of his time as Secretary of State. It isn't as informative as Kissinger's three volumes or as good as Shultz or Baker, but it does tell Vance's side of things. National Security Advisor Brzezinski doesn't fair too well in the memoir but Vance seems to try to be fair to his counterpart. A good explanation is done about U.S. relations with Iran before the hostage crisis.John Navarra Daytona Beach, FL |
