WOW! Another AMAZIN book from Kendall Ryan! I openly admit she is def one of my favorite authors! As always the story was more than great and I LOVED the characters! I am continuously falling in love with the characters in her book! The writing is funny, sexy, and intertaining to say the least.
I just fell in love with Cade..such a sexy and sweet man! I respected and loved how he would do anything for his little sister, Lil.
This book was well worth the wait from Kendall! I so happy she decided to release it earlier and if you have not read this book yet....
You need to NOW! This book is a MUST read for 2013! =)

I'm feeling a bit bipolar with this one... it definitely had it's highs and lows. I appreciate the writing, first of all. I never got bored, I never wanted to put the book down, I was definitely entertained. It just sometimes felt like a puzzle with some missing pieces, and some random pieces from another puzzle thrown in the box. There was definitely a lot going on. Caden is a construction worker/porn star/ cage fighter... but not really. I mean he said he was, but I never felt like he was completely immersed in any of those roles. He started out as this guy doing porn to support his little sister, he seemed like he was deep down this sweet guy that hadn't actually done porn yet, didn't want to, really just wanted a normal life. But by the end he was too committed to the job to give it up for Alexa, and suddenly he's this relationship phobe player that needs taming, it was just all a little all over the place for me. And then Alexa is a virgin nurse from a privileged background and they suddenly don't fit together as a couple because she's to high class for him. There was just so much thrown out, I don't think I ever got a real sense of who these characters were and what exactly made them want to be together. The breakups scenes and the sex scenes were extremely thorough.... well thought out and well written. But the makeup scenes were way too rushed. It was way too easy the way they just got past everything and all was then right with the world. There were things left out, like the fact that he had never actually done a porn movie when they first met in the ER. Or the random babysitters that flirted with Caden... it was like they were brought in to make Alexa jealous but they never actually add anything you the story.
This isn't my first Kendall Ryan book and it definitely won't be my last... but it was just ok for me.

This book had a great premiss, so I thought I would really like it, but I am afraid it fell short. I love a "trouble guy in a tough situation" story, so I expected to love Cade. He ended up being just okay for me. he was not developed enough and I felt like I never got a chance to really know him.
Alexa was just terrible, I could not stand her! She was a wimpy little cry baby who could not be bothered to actually talk about anything, she just runs away and cries when ever something goes wrong.
There were also a couple parts that I may be being nit picky about, but as someone who has worked with children with special needs and in the medical profession I was really annoyed by a couple things in the book:
First of Alexa and her friends apparently have not heard of HIPAA. She tells her friends all about Cade, what came to the hospital for, and about him being a porn star (Yes, I know most people would tell their coworkers that story) but then the friend sees him in the bar and calls him over to let him know that his nurse told them all about him and his trip to the ER? That is a total violation of privacy, and since they are all nursing students they would all know better.
The other one that bothered me the most was when Alexa showed up uninvited at Cade's house with an exercise ball and started doing stretches and exercises with his sister without his permission of supervision. You don't just "wing it" and do therapy with a child with Spina Bifida. She talks about the new stretches and exercises she showed her. She was in no way qualified to do that and it could potentially be very dangerous and harmful.
Basically this book is good if you just want a quick steamy read, but I like to have a good story along with my steam and this book did not deliver for me.

When I was looking at the reviews I read a few that were on the low side one was about how they thought it was to much with his jobs but I think maybe that was the point I don't think he knew who he was and how to pay the medical bills and with that stress and his past he felt that he was not good enough for her and with some help he realizes he is and makes the changes to be I hope that more people will put less stock in the reviews and try for yourself that's what I have found thanks for another great read

After reading "Unravel Me" and "Make Me Yours", I had high hopes for this book. The storyline itself was a pretty good one, but the character development was lacking to me even in the main characters, Caden and Alexa. So much of the story I found to be too far fetched and unbelievable...In reality, Cade's little sister, Lily, would have Medicaid benefits with her having spina bifida and both of her parents being in prison...So, Cade wouldn't have had huge medical bills to pay for her healthcare. Which in turn, wouldn't have made him turn to doing porn movies to pay off the bills. After Cade has told Alexa he is no longer doing those movies, he books a movie shoot for the next day, gets back together with Alexa and takes her virginity that very night, then when she wakes in his bed the next morning and wants to cuddle and do it again he tells her he can't because he has to "work" later that day...what the hell! What a db! Here I was thinking he wouldn't be able to go through with making the porno that day because of him taking her virginity and knowing it was a big deal for her...but no, he goes through with it again because it's just a job...just sex. Yet, he later admits that he wouldn't be able to handle her doing porn and having someone else touch her. I wanted to scream! I can't understand why she wouldn't have been done with him then...love him or not. Sometimes you have to love yourself more...how do you move on from that...takes her virginity one night and makes a porno the next day! Ugh! I wanted to slap some sense into Alexa.
Cade's only saving grace to me was how well he treated and how devoted he was to his special needs sister, Lily. I could just never move past him making the second porno after taking Alexa's virginity.

This story is hard to love. It tries to turn the porn star career into a sympathetic one through the viewpoint of poor, down-on-his-luck Cade. The plot elements are attention-getting and fresh, but the execution misses its potential.
Cade has sex on camera to pay his sister's medical bills--the sister he has custody of because his parents are meth heads. This might've ripped out your soul...if it were his only option.
--He claims he quit his high-income fighting profession because he didn't want to explain the bruises to his little sister. But he has no problem explaining his sex videos plastered all over the interweb in the coming years?
--He's dating rich girl Alexa, who has a good job and would happily give him the money. But that would hurt his ego. Who cares how much his sex with porn stars hurts her.
He relieves her of her virginity under the premise that he's given up his job, and wonders why she's upset when he leaves--just hours later--to screw on screen. It's just a job.
Cade is a dumb a** in every way that matters.
Alexa has more grit, but she's a portrait of high-society stereotypes. And while the reader struggles to forgive Cade of his betrayals, it's impossible to condole with Alexa forgiving him.
By the end, there's happily ever afters and sexy scenes to spare. Between that and the inventive content, there's enjoyment to be had.

What a sweet story. I enjoyed every page. When family is important, you do whatever you need to in order to take care of them. It took a strong sensitive women to accept Cade for what he had to do to provide for his sister. You just love these character for how they relate to each other. Looking forward to reading more of Kendall Ryan's work.

It was like an episode of Days of Our Lives.
It started good. I liked Cade from the get go. I don't condone his choices, but at least he did it for the good reasons. Even though she, Lex, didn't like what he did for a living, she understood why he did what he did. I though it's going to be an interesting story, but it fell apart halfway through.
I would like to not to give too much away, for those who are considering reading this book, but there is so much I want to get off my chest, so... there might be some spoilers ;-).
Their first meeting was absolutely hilarious. I was curious to see how the story going to play out. When she first met him, she knew what he did and I got the impression that she was okay with it (kind of). Attraction between them was believable. I understood what he saw in her and I understood why she was curious. I would have been, too :). I thought she was crazy when she went to his house, but I tried not to overanalyze it.
And here where the thing got weird for me. She comes in, starts cleaning and cooking, like she owns the place. "I wanted to see Lily." she says, when he finds her in his house. Uhm... Ok? I thought it was a bit weird. She have talked to him once, in a bar, before that. And, she was totally waisted!
Lex finds a video on the internet. Watching it over and over again. Looks like she is still fine with it. Keeps coming back to him. Playing a house.
Then, she invites him to have a lunch with her parents. After knowing him only few days and knowing that her mother and father going to give him a hard time, because he is way out of her league. Why she did it, its beyond me. They treated him like s*** and she knew that they would.
Then, they have sex. He says "I have to go to work." and she goes nuts! Stars complaining, demanding stuff and blaming everything that is wrong with a world on him. Where did that came from? She storms out mumbling "How could you. I thought that after we...". They don't see each other for few months. Both missing one another, blah blah blah... Lex meets him, by accident, at some coffee shop, sees him talking to another woman and passes out. Someone kill me please! He says that he wants to talk to her and she think "His news had to be even worse that I imagine, since he was being so kind to me. Maybe Sara was pregnant with twins (?), or they were engaged?" WTF??? Where did she got that idea from?
So, one thing leads to another, he ends up taking her home and they end up doing the thingy. After she says "And you won't even so much as look at the other woman when we are together." he says "Done".

I thought the premise was unique and quirky. Cade ends up in the ER with a very painful stiffie from being fed a couple of little blue pills by his Director at his porn movie shoot. Alexa is the lucky student nurse that gets to help him with his problem. I found myself embarassed for Cade and giggling right along from the the beginning.
(Quote:)He was undeniably attractive, and that was even before I saw the python in his pants.
I loved all of the sides of Cade. He is a hard working, blue collar, loving caregiver, and willing to do anything he has to in order to take care of his sister and their bills. Even if that means making a few porn movies. He is sweet, sexy, funny, and has a conscience.
(Quote:)Over the past few minutes he'd transformed from an ultra-sexy, bad-for-you porn star into a loving, caring human being.
Alexa is a good girl with a little naughty side and just cannot get Cade(or his online sexy movies) out of her mind. She is used to living the life of privilege.
"Sometimes I forget how sheltered you are Alexa. I swear you act like you were raised by the Cleavers, with your day-of-the-week cotton underpants and everything."
With some encouragement from her wild friend, a lot of alcohol, and a milestone birthday she gets brave enough to entertain the idea of enlisting Cade's "services" to rid herself of that pesky V Card. And through a series of events they begin spending time together. I loved how vulnerable he was in that he felt he was not good enough for her. And how she was down to Earth enough not to really care. They come from two different social classes, but they were so good together and just what the other needed to balance each other out.
(Quote:)"You're going to be the death of me, cupcake."
(Quote:)"I don't do roses and candles and country clubs. Dates with me wouldn't involve tennis"..."No cupcake, I'm more of a beer and hot wings, and sex in the cab of my truck kind of guy...But for you I could probably make an exception."
I adored his sweet little sister Lily. She was just a breath of fresh air and really was an integral part in their relationship as well.
(Quote:)I watched them drive away. The little girl who owned my heart and the beautiful Alexa who was pulling it in an entirely new direction.
I have to admit that there was one part that hurt Alexa and made her mad, and I was equally disappointed and mad at Cade myself. I wanted to shake him! But I still forgave him. There was some drama of course. But just enough to keep me interested and not enough to make me want to throw my kindle. I really loved them together. They had great chemistry and brought out the best in each other.
It was a fun, fast, sweet read that I devoured in one sitting. I had a smile on my face when I was done.

All I have to say is that I most definitely want a Cade! Come on who would not want an ex-cage fighter who is also a hot and sweaty construction worker and is porn star! Oh and who is guardian if his 6 year old sister (sigh). I loved the chemistry and the sweetness between Alexia and Care. I would recommend this book to everyone.
