Unique!
I love having this in my design ideas library. While it touches on traditional hardanger, the book is mostly full of edgings and similar accents. I've definitely turned to it more than a few times when designing my own patterns. Even people who are familiar with hardanger will get new ideas from this book. Don't judge the book by its cover
I have never written a review before, but thought I should because I think the cover is deceptive. When I saw, the lace, I thought "Wow--never knew Hardanger could be done to look like that!" Well, it can't be done as shown. These are lace inserts cut from another source and stitched into place.

I love having this in my design ideas library. While it touches on traditional hardanger, the book is mostly full of edgings and similar accents. It does have patterns but I haven't done them. If someone's looking for a regular hardanger instruction book, this probably won't work well. If you're really interested in cutwork edgings though, it's wonderful.
