5.0 out of 5 stars one of canada's best punk albums of all time
this lp-long out of print, is in fact a mini album. It contains not only DOA's best songs ever-it is the perfect DOA album. All
14 tracks are killer with no filler to 'sum' it up....there is even
a hilarious version of Led Zeppelin's 'Communication Breakdown". If one has to own two killer canadian punk cds
this album coupled with their first album 'something...

1.0 out of 5 stars sounds like 4 kids playing crap
this is a bad cd. i thought it had the new Limp bizkit single, but again, DOA is a punk/rock/hard/folk band that talks about dead people and ronald reagans buttcrack. it also seems they don't like good music like disco or hat-rock. bass lines suck, and the guitar player sounds like he's into rap.

this album coupled with their first album 'something better change' -THIS IS IT..It gets also a perfect score.Burnaby's finest-DOA are
legends.A band ive always loved -Now if only they rereleased The Subhumans catalogue (1978 to 1983) on
Sudden Death Records,I'd be totally thrilled. These long out
of print albums are sorely missed and need to see the light
of day once again.I love this band....

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Album, November 22, 2003
By A Customer

If you like your music loud fast and abrasive, this is the album you must get. DOA is a great band, and this thier best album. It is a non-stop flurry accented by great drumming by Chuck Biscuits. This album should be mandatory listening for anyone who wants to know what true punk music is all about.

5.0 out of 5 stars Still as vibrant as the day it came it out, May 7, 2009
This review is from: Hardcore '81 (Audio CD)
I have to admit I'm a little biased - I've been listening to DOA for over 30 years. This is their best album. I feel it has all the ingredients of a great punk album - loud, raw music, anti-establishment music, and humour. This is a band at its best - full of energy, make statements and doing it all with an attitude that can't be faked.

The CD has bonus songs from later EP's and don't really fit in with album, but they do fill the CD up and will guide the new listener to later work by this great band. Is this the best punk album ever? Listen to it a few times, let it grow on you and decide for yourself.

5.0 out of 5 stars DOA is underrated and great, August 12, 2005

DOA is underrated and great. Probably it's because they're Canadians, and Yanks think of Canada as the 51st State that DOA gets ignored. I saw them live, and they rocked the house, of course. This is as vital as Minor Threat, Misfits, Germs, JFA, Dead Kennedys, Bad Brains or any of the classic 80s hardcore genre. Pick it up, you mulletheads. Stop being hosers.

5.0 out of 5 stars I kept wondering, why 4/5 starts?, January 7, 2008
This review is from: Hardcore '81 (Audio CD)
Only because there was a 1/5 review from a fake reviewer. This is hardcore... this is Canadian hardcore! It is argued that DOA coined the term "hardcore" with this album. It's essential! It is a little different than your American hardcore such as D.C's Minor Threat and Bad Brains, as well as L.A Germs and Black Flag. Vocals are never screamed, more growly sound. It's refreshing, and of course Chuck Biscuits is on the drums! Be proud to enjoy your Canadian hardcore.
