Was always a bit ambivilant about Trout..(the man..not the fish} but after hearing this...i've gone back and listened a second time to his older stuff. Gotta say..he's a Hell of a guitarist..but he really let go and tore it up with "Power Trio"! Raw, loud, energetic, and just kick-ass in general. I wish he'd continue with a trio and dump the keyboards..left with a trio..he really shines! Newbies...start here!

I purchased the CD had Walter autograph it at Artpark, NY where Walter performed along with Coco Montoya. One of the best concerts I had seen in a long, long time. And it was free! This is an excellent 'live' capture of Walter as a three piece after the organ broke down. It's killer guitar blues at it's best.
