About the Author

Glenn Langohr has a purpose: he writes to shine a light inside our prison systems and to help others turn their lives around. Before becoming a best selling author, Glenn Langohr ran away from a broken home and entered the drug war with abandon. Business with the Mexican Mafia and Hell's Angels became a way of life until the Criminal Justice system interrupted him. In prison he was involved in riots and spent years in the hole. From solitary confinement he started writing and hasn't stopped since. Now, he is an usher at his church, speaks as a guest Lecturer at colleges and writes articles for newspapers. "I want to show the world and the students and leaders of tomorrow, that we are only building bigger criminals by locking up low level offenders. In prison, an addiction is bred into an affliction much harder to escape." Help him show the world redemption is possible, buy and share his books. The author will gift his books FREE from the Kindle store to those who can't afford it. Glenn is anomaly; but a very genuine one. His unstoppable passion to prove that there isn't a hole deep enough for a underdog fighter to crawl out of, against all odds,- is a force to be recon with. Glenn is a testament that if there is a will there is a way to walk that hardest step I walk every day - no excuses, no matter what!
This book of Glenn's strength and hope is my personal favorite because it hits close to home with me. Glenn is a man of God; this rigorously honest story of his path proves that faith is dead without works.
Being drug free is just a mandatory start - sobriety doesn't mean recovery. Glenn talks about the importance of being of service and caring the message of recovery to half way houses. Can't keep it unless you give it away! The core of AA is that footwork and step work is vital in overcoming active addiction. Together we can! Underdogs unite!

In his newest book, The Hardest Step, Glenn presents a very real and compelling look at what it is like to look recovery right in the face and take it on. We all come from different walks of life, have different backgrounds, etc., but being a recovering addict myself, I can attest to his vivid account of his own journey of recovery because that is one thing that we all share in common- the fear and challenge of taking that hardest step and changing our lives for the better and how we were intended to live. Great job, Glenn! I'm so very proud of how far you have come and making your dreams a reality. This is what it is all about!!!!!

True to his previous books, My Hardest Step, will encourage and uplift the downtrodden. Glenn's ability to relate to the readers of his books is an inspiration. He's been there, he's lived it and he's a survivor in the truest sense of the word. My Hardest Step is a story of triumph through the 12 step program. It is very informative for those who have experienced life in this way, as well as being informative to those of us who have been observers in the lives of those we love. I couldn't put it down after the first page and wanted more after the last page. Glenn brings light into the dark world of addiction and exposes it for the trap it truly is. He doesn't leave the reader there though, he brings us through to the other side into the abundant life that God has planned for us.

"My Hardest Step" by Glenn Langohr is a beautiful story of redemption over a broken home where he ran away, got addicted to drugs to mask the emotional pain and eventually went to prison on serious charges. From prison, in a cell in solitary he started writing books to open the public's eyes to a bigger problem about addiction, that by sending kids to prison over it, the problem gets a lot worse. In this book, Glenn shares his story of recovery. After getting out of prison, he meets an ex TV Producer in recovery from his own addictive challenges, and from there, Glenn is able to help others who are challenged with addictions, gang lifestyles and prison mentalities. A heart warming story of how good God is and how able He is to restore things. I hope this gets on TV to help millions of people."
