5.0 out of 5 stars Rhino Bucket CD ... Hardest Town
This band ... simply put ... ROCKS!!! They remind me alot of the Bon Scott AC/DC years! I simply dig this CD!!! I have been a fan for years! It is one of those CD's that the more you listen to it the better it is!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Unfinished business
I really like Rhino Bucket, and I like some songs on this disc. I am not sorry to have bought it. That said, I must vent on what bothers me about this disc.
It seems to me that they rushed this one out too quick. What I mean by that is, some songs just get going and then are suddenly over!? This is especially noticable on the second half of the record...

It's like they didn't have time to flesh out the tunes before release. It was really annoying to me, and I am disappointed that they didn't take more time to develop these songs -or maybe let Brian do a nice long solo to help them get a little past the 3 minute mark.
This is not the place to start for those new to Rhino Bucket. Get the debut or 'Get Used To It' for a more rewarding example of the Bucket at their finest.
Don't get me wrong, I do like the music on this disc. For fans of the band -you should get it. And the bonus track you get for pre-ordering it, a cover of "Vision Thing" (by Sisters of Mercy) is totally kickazz. They sure ought to have put it on this record!!
Irritating, how this release was produced and handled.
Still, it is the Bucket and is better than most other music out there.

5.0 out of 5 stars the rhino is back and ROCKIN"!!!!!!, May 9, 2009
This review is from: The Hardest Town (Audio CD)
rhino bucket's 1st new cd in awhile rocks!!! they still got that bon scott ac/dc era sound of rockin' blues.georg dolivo still sounds like bon scott's son. with former kix guitarest brian forsythe on lead guitar+former ac/dc sideman simon wright on drums+reeve downes on bass. this is an all star line up. and it shows on rockers "the hardest town" street to street""know my name" "she'S with me"+ blues rockers "to be mine" "slip away" "dog don't bite" "justified". all in all if you like this classic rock sound of the 70's+80's rhino bucket plays hard blues based rock"N"ROLL!i heard their 1st cd then i was hooked!the rhino roars again!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Band You've Never Heard!, March 4, 2011

This review is from: The Hardest Town (Audio CD)
The Bucket is back with a great new CD. I was turned on to the boys thru Pandora Radio and was so impressed that I bought all of their CD's. My friends were so impressed that they borrowed my CD's and never gave them back!!

The new music is fresh and has a great rock and roll feel all the way thru. The songs are tight and varied nicely and not one note is wasted or out of place. I would recommend using the home stereo and turning the volume up as loud as your ears and heart can take it. I truly enjoyed every song on the CD (which I now keep in my car player at all times). I did buy 3 of the CD's and yes, two are out on loan....never to be heard from again.

Now if WE could just get the band to do some major TOURING in the USA!!!!!!!!!

This Is Another Great C.D. Anything By Rhino Bucket Is Always Good ! If You Can Find Their Prior Five Albums On Cd Buy Them Quick Becouse They Are Getting Very Rare. 1-Rhino Bucket/Rhino Bucket 2-Rhino Bucket/Get Used To It 3-Rhino Bucket/Pain And Suffering 4-Rhino Bucket/And Then It Got Ugly 5-Rhino Bucket/No Song Left Behind . The Final Three Cd's Are Not That Rare Yet But The First Two Are. I Have Them All And Would Not Part With None Of Them.

3.0 out of 5 stars Boring, lack of inspiration, May 5, 2009
This review is from: The Hardest Town (Audio CD)

I have been and still is a huge fan of Rhino Bucket ever since I first heard their great music two years ago. So I had high expectations and really looked forward with joy for their new album. It arrived today and quickly I gave it the first spin at my Cd-player.

But what happened to the energy and the raw power I used to know at their previous albums?. The more tracks I was listening to the more disappointed I felt. This is definitely NOT in the same league as "No Song Left Behind", ""And then it Got Ugly", "Pain & Suffering" & "Get Used To It"...something is really WRONG at this new album I am very sad to notice/say so. Maybe if I play it more the next few days I will love it more. Until then "better luck next time, Rhino Bucket"...I look forward to and hope for a more powerful album next time. I still LOVE this band anyway and wish them all the best.

To new fans: Don't buy this album if it's your first time because then you get a wrong impression of this great band. Now I hope the new "Heaven & Hell - The Devil You Know" (I hopefully receive this one tomorrow) and Primal Fear - 16.6 (Before The Devil knows your are Dead)" ( I have pre-ordered this one for 20 th. of May) will surprise me the best way instead of the way Rhino Bucket did this time. ROCK ON, all brothers & sisters of Heavy Metal/Hard Rock fans....and keep the faith. ;-)

This is a great CD! It is very reminiscent of early AC/DC ("Powerage"/"High Voltage") A bluesy sound with a raspy set of vocals.
