I live in a small house, have lots of books, and like to re-arrange my furniture from time to time all by myself. Conventional bookcases are either too flimsy or too heavy, and are hard to move. Also, so much of the furniture out there is just too oversized for smaller rooms. This one is the right size, folds up for easy storage or moving, and it is well made. It's sturdy enough to hold heavy books, planters, etc. I liked the first one so much I bought several more-they look great in my little home "library".

Came fully assembled (except for the top shelf--but there's included screws for that). You just unfold and you're ready to go! Very sturdy once folded out--I would definately buy another one of these if I had the need for it. It's worth the few extra bucks for this one compared to its slightly cheaper counterparts.

I ordered three of these bookcases. They are attractive, lightweight and very handy. My only complaint is that one of the three did not come as fully assembled as the instructions indicated it should. I had to insert plastic dowels myself and the wood split a bit under the mantle top. You can't see it and does not affect the functioning of the book case.
