I was so excited to get these, and I ordered the whole set to replace all the lighting in my house. All of the other lights have been wonderful, but these have let me down a bit. Why? Well, the way the 3 curling arms are built, it is very difficult to get them aligned enough to look right. The middle shaft first has to be straightened to it is perpendicular to the ceiling, and then each of the 3 arms takes some wiggling and maneuvering. Otherwise, they stick out funny or are too far from the glass. I originally ordered 5, but returned 3 of them in exchange for the Hardware House 543744 Berkshire 12-Inch by 5-1/2-Inch Ceiling Lighting Fixture Oil-Rubbed Bronze.

Also, a note about the whole set--many oil-rubbed bronze pieces have a sort of brushed look over all the metal work, but these lights only have the effect on the edges. It looks good still and matches well enough with my faucets, etc., but if you are going for perfection in your coordination, you might want to be aware of that.

I found a similar fixture at a local retail lamp store with the same iron work for $120. I was skeptical at first when I saw the price of this fixture, but it looks really great in our entry way. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I agree with another commenter regarding quality. The metal is thinner than others I've seen, but no one can tell since it's a ceiling fixture. At this price, I won't feel bad buying a new fixture every couple of years if styles change.

This light coordinates really well with the Bennington Collection Five Light Chandelier, which is in our dining room. I picked that up at 1/2 off sale at a local lamp store :)

We moved from a house to an apartment in a retirement community. We replaced 5 "institutional" looking florescent fixtures with these Berkshire ceiling fixtures. They look great and were VERY reasonable. I installed them myself, and added rheastat switches for a nice adjustable soft light when bright lighting is not needed.

I love it, no problems with this ceiling light!! Bought the whole set of Hardware House oil rubbed bronze items!! Look beautiful in the house.

At the current price point ($29), I think this is an excellent value. All the supplied hardware is good quality, particularly the bulb sockets themselves which have an engineered design to make them compact. The finish is a little darker than pictured but lighter colored highlights tip observers off to the bronze finish. This fixture includes all the necessary mounting hardware so all you need is a recessed standard box in the ceiling. You should probably do a mock set up with the lamp shade before hanging it to get the right thread depth on the finial and the relationship of the shade to the decorative arms (one reviewer complained about the complexity of this) because it will be harder when it's on the ceiling. Other than that, installation was pretty simple. Once lit, the shade casts a warm glow because of the brownish tint in the glass. If there's any hint of low cost in all this, it's the installation instructions, they are a bit vague on a couple of points. Nevertheless, I am very pleased with the attractiveness of the overall design and it has put a bit of flair in my breakfast room.

Everything I needed to replace the old fixture except a screwdriver was in the box. I especally like that it holds two bulbs. I put in 100 watt equivlent compact floricents and get the extra light that my old eyes need. My wife and I are spending more time together now as we both like to sit under the light to read.

Beautiful product for a lot cheaper than what you get at the stores and trust me i have looked. Bought 2 took about 5-10 min each to put up and look great gives the ceiling that little bit extra then what a flush mount fixture gives.

I bought this to replace the hideous lighting fixture in my apartment dining room. I installed it by myself with ease in about 20 minutes (another set of hands would have made it even faster!). It looks nice and it is sturdy. All of the parts to install the fixture are included. I would definitely recommend this fixture.

We love it. Price and quality are good. With 2 bulbs, it is warm and bright enough in our living room.

It took my husband over an hour to install. He said it was extremely complicated. I also thought that the oil rubbed bronze was a brown color but it is actually grey in color which I didn't like). Lastly, the metal was thin and looked flimsy.
