"Dude Ranch O'Death!" is installment number 12 in the latest reincarnation of the Hardy Boys, a staple of adventure detective fiction for several generations of American grade school boys. The series is now available in graphic novel format, with exciting art work and new storylines.
In this story, Frank and Joe are asked by American Teens Against Crime to infiltrate a Nevada ranch for troubled teens, several of whose inmates have gone missing. Frank goes in as a wayward youth; brother Joe as a camp counselor. Almost immediately, bad things start to happen. The Hardy Boys race to save the kids and the staff from deadly accidents while finding the perpetrators. There are plenty of suspects; an ambush in a old mine will provide the solution, if the brothers can survive it. "Dude Ranch O'Death!" is an exciting storyline, if a little exotic for a couple of high school students. It is highly recommended to fans of the Hardy Boys graphic novels.
