This review is from: The Hardy Boys #15: Live Free, Die Hardy! (Hardy Boys Graphic Novels (Papercutz Paperback)) (Paperback)
"Live Free, Die Hardy" is the fifteenth entry in the graphic novel adaptation of the Hardy Boys, an adventure detective favorite for several generations of American grade school boys.
As the story opens, Frank and Joe Hardy are deep inside a computer hacking case as undercover agents for ATAC (American Teenagers Against Crime). To their surprise, they are invited to ATAC headquarters for an unexpected birthday party for their father, ATACA head Fenton Hardy. But something isn't quite right... "Live Free, Die Hardy" borrows liberally, but charmingly, from the "Die Hard" movies, with Frank and Joe hiding in a vast complex, trying to outwit a heavily armed band of intruders targeting their father. Their principal nemisis will be two vicious sisters with a grudge, who wouldn't mind finishing off all the Hardy's. "Live Free, Die Hardy" is highly recommended to fans of the Hardy Boys graphic novels. |
