I'll admit, I am a gummi snob. I've been devouring these little guys since the 1960's, when they were only available when my Oma sent a few packages from Europe. Those gummis were flavored and colored naturally with fruit, and so fresh that they practically melted in your mouth.
These are nearly as wonderful. Naturally, they are artificially colored, since the 1960's are long gone, but they are flavored with fruit, and taste so fresh that you can't really compare them to any other candy. The only quality that is different than the Gummi of my childhood is that they are a little firmer than I remember. They are not squishy like Jello or a gumdrop, they're quite a bit firmer, but not hard at all.
When these are available -- grab them! They aren't the easiest gummis to find, and they keep very well in the freezer. I buy them in bulk and freeze. Of course, you can take your chances, and wait for me to get there first. (heh, heh)

If it wasn't really annoying and bother most people, I'd write "these bears are delicious" 5 times to reach the 20 word minimum. I guess I'll describe them a bit. They have a harder than normal gummy texture, which allows to to bit them a bit without destroying them and suck out the juices. If you can't wait that long before swallowing them, just shove some in your mouth, chomp on em, and let them drop to the depths of your belly. Mmmmmmmmmm, sooooo GOOOOOD!!

The individual packets are about one third ounce. The packaging for the 16 ounce bag is a bit of a contradiction as, after packaging in small packets, it defines a serving size as four of the packets. This is another good item to use as treats, either on occasions like Halloween, or just for everyday treats. I do know some people who seem to be addicted to gummi bears. It does have a "best by" date on the bag, many months out in the future, but it is unlikely they would last that long. The small packets can be kept in a candy jar, dropped into lunch bags, etc.
