5.0 out of 5 stars Tragically addictive
This is my sixth or seventh Haribo bulk item purchased at Amazon, and so far, perhaps my favorite. The peaches and the cherry gummies would be a close second. I would hardly call the flavor anything like actual raspberries, but like most Haribo confections, it's still very fragrant and pleasant---not at all chemical/noxious/phony. 3.0 out of 5 stars Flavorful & Sweet

These are really cute candies. Each drop is wrapped into hundred of crunchy round bits, just like a real berry. Oozing with flavor and enticing aroma. The gummi part is found inside. Although the Haribo bears are my ultimate favorite, I find this one a bit too sweet for the taste.

The main problem with these raspberries is their small size and interesting chewy/crunchy texture tempts you to come back for more. Before you know it, you've finished the bag, ordered three more, and are seeing an endocrinologist regularly for acute pancreatic failure---basically the highest compliment you can pay to a confectionery company. Way to go, Haribo!

I was so glad to find these raspberry candies available on Amazon. They are rarely found in any stores near me. They have always been a favorite of mine. I suck off the little dots and then chew the jelly center, a double treat! They came quickly and I will definitely order them again. Thanks Amazon

5.0 out of 5 stars Gummy, but not TOO Gummy, November 8, 2006

No, I'm not bored or hungry at the moment, I'm trying to avoid doing our shIpping, so I'm shOpping instead.

I am not only over the age of 13 (as if someone under 13 would admit it and not check the box), I'm WELL over the age of 13 and after a lifetime of trying to pull my teeth out on gummies and beef jerky (I miss that stuff), I've almost succeeded...so no more true gummies.

I love these things because:
1. They're not chocolate (I love chocolate but I can't have chocolate)

2. They're not too hard

3. The little non pareils are fun and crunchy, but don't stick in my teeth

4. They're fat-free and if you used to own a gallbladder that was on a recall list, you can't have any fat :)

5. They're cheap here. And I got 10 bucks off by ordering these along with stuff I really did need. (These are over $5.00 a pound in the supermarket and the last time I asked my husband to 'bring me a bag of those rasberry things', he spent $23.00 on them! Someone needs to invent some sort of force-field to keep men out of the candy aisle!)

So, I ordered them. I'll eventually eat them all..I am going to seal them in 1/2 pound FoodSaver bags and I figure they'll last a year ;)

5.0 out of 5 stars Irresistable, August 31, 2006
This review is from: Haribo Gummi Candy, Raspberries, 5-Pound Bag (Grocery)
Haribo makes an astonishing variety of candies. Gummi Raspberrys are an excellent candy that demonstrates the inspired imagination that sets Haribo apart from run of the mill candy makers. There are two flavors in the bag, Red Raspberry and Black Raspberry, and their tastes are believable, if maybe a tad sweet. The real inventiveness of this candy is the texture. They feel like a real raspberry when you bite into them, thanks to a coating of flavored carnauba wax "seeds" (it tastes better than it sounds!) that crunches when you chew, just like the seeds on a real raspberry. Habit forming.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everybody wants some!, January 31, 2010

When I found these soft, chewy candies covered with sugary beads, all in red and deep purple raspberry colors at a grocery outlet five years ago, I ended up purchasing 25 bags. I generously shared them with almost all my close friends and they loved them. Then they seemed to disappear from all the stores I scoured; my friends accused me of hoarding and not sharing. I carefully rationed the three bags I had saved, but they finally ran out and I spent a year trying not to accept that they may have been discontinued by the manufacturer. I eventually succumbed to temptation and searched the internet for the manufacturer; and Eureka! there they were and for sale on Amazon. Thinking everybody else had forgotten about the existence of these little gems of raspberry candy, I only ordered 2 5-pound bags. I immediately gave a jarful to my brother and a neighbor who wasn't feeling well and so on until it is almost time for me to order another 10 pounds. If you like mouth-watering raspberry flavor in a bite sized jewel that melts gradually until you surrender to the urge to chew up the last bit, you'll love these. Just be sure you don't order the whole supply; that you leave some more for me.

Why are you reading reviews for this candy? Are you bored? Hungry?

If you've never had them, wow. These are amazing.

I thought to myself the first time I tried these, "Huhm. Little candy raspberries. Bah. I've seen better. This is child's play." And bam.

They're so good, I wrote a review on them. *thumbs up*

My 19 year old daughter was so happy to get the nice fresh candies. She and her roomates ate the whole bag in less than a week! She used to work at the candy store here in Savannah, and missed having these yummy Raspberries and Blackberries. They arrived nice and fresh, and quickly!
