This review is from: Hario MDP-10 Ice Tea Pot Pure (Kitchen)
I purchased this to do hot and cold infusions using both bagged and loose leaf tea. The Hario MD-10 is made of high quality glass and works great for iced tea or as a regular pitcher. It has a detachable filter in the lid that makes it easy to add whatever you like to your tea without worrying about it entering your cup upon pouring. I use fresh lemon when doing hot infusions with black tea, and this keeps lemon pulp in the pitcher. I have also done cold infusions with loose leaf Japanese sencha and this keeps even fine tea leaf in the pitcher and out of your cup. The downside of this is that it can clog up very easily when pouring, which requires a quick rinse to clean the filter.
The glass and plastic top tolerates high temperatures (the included booklet specifies a 120c max temp) so there's no problem pouring boiling water right into it when brewing. Since the glass tolerates high heat and feels very sturdy overall, I'm not sure why another reviewer is worried about the glass thickness. The relatively thin glass is preferable as it keeps the pitcher lightweight with a small footprint. It fits the bill perfectly for me at least. Overall this is a great product for those who drink a lot of tea. It's small, versatile, and easy to use. It only holds one litre when completely full however so take that into consideration. The glass construction may be a concern if you have younger kids or clumsy people.

This tea pitcher is superb. It has a fine streamlined design and fits very nicely in the fridge when cool. It's great for hot and cold brewing, just put loose tea in the pitcher, pour in water & swirl gently. Take care with hot brews- use hot but not boiling water, temperatures too high burn the tea leaves and will make any vessel more difficult to handle. For cold brewing just add cool or even tepid water up to the line, swirl and wait for the tea to mature to your desired taste. Very simple to use with a classic elegantly modern design, a fantastically designed product.

I use this pot all summer long for my iced tea(Japanese Mugi-cha tea.)
I am glad I bought 2 of this. The pot is not heavy and easy to wash, and you can pour hot water too. I have a Hario's teapot also, and I really like Hario's products. Recently, I bought the cheaper glass pot but it was way too heavy to use. I cannot think of anything negative about this pot.
