If you enjoyed Spirit of African Design, then you will love this book. There are nice room pictures showing african art in primarily a contemporary design style.

It's a great coffee table book for anyone who loves both African Art styles and contemporary interior design.

This wonderful coffee table book won't be on the coffee table long! It is chock full of beautiful pictures with practical ideas. Although many of the rooms are decidely high-end, there are several ideas that can be applied to more moderate tastes.
I highly recommend that this book be added to any home design library.

This is a great addition to anyone that is looking for information on Urban Style. It is a older book, but it has so many pictures and discussions on the Urban style that are still holding today. I am happy to have it in my library of books on interior design and will refer to it often.

I have been trying to figure out how to integrate African artifacts and themes into my Victorian decor. This book does it all! The book shows many types of urban homes and apartments and provides the reader with ideas that range from the simple to the elaborate. This is not a How To book but it does not need to be with such exquisite and diverse photographs.

Love the use of color and pattern, will def incorporate them into my home's style. The urban aesthetic is more polished in this book than first thought, with a touch of glamour. Great purchase!

I brought this book for my mom who loves interior design and she adores the photographs in the book.

Loved it! Full of really interesting historical information as well as beautiful photos. I leave it on my coffee table for others to enjoy!
