3.0 out of 5 stars ok read not has good as the first two books, June 17, 2009
(from back cover) Crown Prince Gianferro is heir to the throne of Mardivino. His father, the King, is dying. The pressure is on Gianferro to find a wife. Young and innocent Miss Millie de Vere, from an aristocratic English family with royal connections, always thought her sister would marry Gianferro. But it's Millie he wants, and now she will marry the Mediterranean Prince she fancies madly . . . but hardly knows

I thought Gianferro was to unyeilding, didn't like the way he lorded his will over Millie, treated her like a servant or a child and not like his wife. Also Millie could have had more of a back bone (she didn't have much presence, didn't seem strong enough or mature enough for Gian).

Gianferro had such potential in the other stories,(didn't feel like the same person) kind of felt like the author was just trying to get the series done with.

Also wished that the Nicolo, Guido and there wives would have been more present in the last book

But it was ok, a quick read w/o a complicated story line and I'm still glad to have read Gian story, and liked the ending even though it was kind of abrupt

The Series:

The Mediterranean Prince's Passion,

The Prince's Love-Child,

The Future King's Bride

3.0 out of 5 stars Starts off a little predictable, gets better toward the end, August 10, 2005
I found this romance novel to be average to slightly above average among easy summer or vacation reads. I mostly read for stress reduction and my chosen genre is romance. I've read better, I've read worse--but if you are seeking a quick read with all the standard romance elements, including a couple of decent, not excellent, but decent love scenes, this book may be for you--especially if your taste runs toward the whole "royality and the virgin bride" thing. If so, this one is sure to please. I frankly found the emphasis on the whole virgin bride experience and pressure to produce an heir, while secretly downing birth control pills a bit predictable and overdone--but again, this is not my prefered romance setting. All in all, for 3 bucks and about 3-4 hrs of my life, I was satisfied with it.
