Suprisingly a guilty pleasure...,
By D. Blacker "the romance novel lover" (The Woods in CT) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Harlequin Violet: Blind Date (Harlequin Ginger Blossom Mangas) (Paperback)
Okay I am an avid harlequin reader, so I thought I would give this a try. I have not yet read the original, but I truly enjoyed this. I used to love Sailor Moon, but never really got into the Japanese manga thing. The first thing I have to say it is weird reading right to left and having the book backwards. The illustrations were really good and told the story. I usually don't like books about "famous" musicians and actors, but I actually like this book. I found the beginning hysterically funny.
It's about Peggy, who wants to get on a dating show so that she can win a stereo and see the set (she doesn't want to "win" the date). The person to win a date with is the famous, talented, and handsome John Gale. So will she get her stereo or John Gale? I would definately recommend reading it... |
