While very informative it is not the book for a beginner. The projects are not detailed enough. Just about every project is only 2 pages. The color pictures are a plus but this book would at best be a good supplement to your library ,not a staple.

While a seasoned HD person will find this basic its handy for those who are new to doing stuff to there hd .. I liked how it broke it down to time and $$ and how handy you need to be i bought this for a friend and got to read it first ..
