5.0 out of 5 stars Hittin' the Highway, December 22, 2000

This review is from: Harley Davidson: Legendary Road Songs (Audio CD)
Being the owner of both Harley-Davison Roadsongs compilations, I was ecstatic to learn of this new collection of road-worthy tunes. Filled with 17 classic rock songs, this cd kept me rockin' and singing along until the very end. I've been a fan of Harley-Davidson motorcycles for many years, and this disc represents the freedom and excitement evoked by riding on the back of a hog. With such 70's classics as Deep Purple's "Smoke on the Water" and Thin Lizzy's "The Boys are Back in Town" to The Dead's "Touch of Grey" and the Scorpions' "Rock You Like a Hurricane" of the 80's, the artists compiled in this album still manage to put most of today's artists to shame. If you like classic, good old fashioned rock and roll, or you're just tired of listening to Limp Bizkit and Korn (not that there's anything wrong with them!)...this album is a must have!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect songs for the perfect motorcycle, January 14, 2003

This is a wonderful collection of songs to get the motor humming and the blood pumpin'. "Fire Lake" and "Ride the Wind" are sublime; the others are great, too. We play this CD over and over and....all hail to Harley Davidson on their 100th Anniversary! We ride our Electra Glide with Pride.

5.0 out of 5 stars And I don't even like Harleys., March 13, 2002

This review is from: Harley Davidson: Legendary Road Songs (Audio CD)
This CD is an excellent compilation. And I ride a Honda Nighthawk. Seriously, though, this has great "true" rock songs that are easy to listen to, but pump you up. I took a 1000 mile road trip listening to mainly this CD and I never got tired of it. It especially helped at night when my eyes were getting heavy. I just rocked all the way through the night. There's a mixture of hard rock tunes (such as Black Sabbath's "Neon Knights"), some '80s...rock (Whitesnake's "Still of the Night" - arguably the best '80s rock anthem), and good old fashioned easy rock (like Bob Seger's "Fire Lake"). The mixture of hardcore, bluesy, and even upbeat rock really gets you into the music. Lots of guitar and better lyrics than any rock you'll find nowadays. And Billy Idol's cover of "LA Woman" isn't that bad. This CD is great for road trips or just listening to any ol' day. Well worth the money. There isn't a song I don't like.
