About the Author
Dain Gingerelli has been writing about cars and motorcycles since 1970. He road-raced motorcycles and cars for 13 years, in the course winning four amateur-class championships and four FIM world endurance speed records. Dain was editor for Iron Works, and his byline and photo credits have appeared on countless motorcycle and automotive magazine articles. He has authored seven books, most recently The Hot Rod Idea Book (Motorbooks, 2009). He lives in Mission Viejo, California.
An award-winning writer and photographer, Randy Leffingwell worked for years as a staff photographer for the Los Angeles Times. He photographed many of the motorcycles that appeared in The Art of the Motorcycle, for which he developed a lighting technique that he perfected when photographing The Harley-Davidson Motor Co. Archive Collection. He is MBI’s best-selling author. Randy lives in Santa Barbara, California.
