I have built two of these, after finishing the first one i decided that haveing all the internal moving parts clear as they come in the kit made it hard to see them moveing.
on the second kit i spay painted the internal parts differnt colors of candy to make them easyer to see and it worked great. the company should sujest it in thier instructions.
the only negitive thing i have to add is that both of my kits and i assume all kits were wired so that they turn the motor around in reverse direction to how the motor really runs so opened up the base and redid the wireing to correct this and i know i ride one.

I bought this product for my fiancee, who loves to work on models and engines. It was just the right difficulty level and a good quality product!

This took several hours to assemble. After it was completed, I noticed that you can hardly see the pistons and rods because they are clear. It would be so much better if they were painted.

Also, the engine is not rotating in the correct direction. The crankshaft rotates counter-clockwise on the real engine not clockwise as in this model. Yes, it does make a difference!

After about 10 cycles the engine stoped rotating completely. Now only the sounds work. This could have been a great model, but because of the poor design and lack of paint detail, I would not recommend this product.
