UPDATE: 6 months in, regular use in the gym. still working great! Battery lasts a LOOOOONG time. very happy.

Just received these. Can confirm that they sound great!
I'm picky, and have large-ish ears.
Ive tried the Parrots, Ive tried the Sennheisers and Ive tried several other much cheaper over-ear designs.
All have been returned. (The Parrots sounded very good, not great, but the touchpanel had issues and the "auto shutoff" was engaging whenever I moved my head. )
These HK are not quite as fancy as the Parrot, but sound quality is excellent, and they support APT-X, which Parrot does not.
The sound stage is massive and detailed compared to other high-end bluetooth pairs Ive tried.
The bass is natural, not overly boosted, but it is very clear. I can pick out the bass guitar and bass vocals etc.
There was little fatigue after 1.5 hours of listening.

From my Macbook air they connect using APT-X high-quality bluetooth. From the iPhone 5, its regular bluetooth signal, but the sound qual is better than even the $500 Sennheiser MMX over-ear I had and returned to amazon.

After using this pair at my computer, I took the dog outside to the beach. Ran around playing tag and fetch for about 45 min. Iphone in my front pocket. Signal connection was solid, only a few drop-outs. Headphones were comfortable the entire time. Stayed put, but not too tight.
There is no active sound-canceling in this model, but the over-ear seal is pretty good.
The bass is TIGHT and natural. These are not muddy Beats.
Battery life in real-world testing is too soon to say.
At one point the connection to the iphone "locked" up. I had to turn off and then on again the pair to get sound flowing again. A simple bluetooth reset didn't do it.

I wanted to give these wireless headphones 5 stars, mainly because the sound is really good for Bluetooth. I bought these because both pro reviews (e.g., CNET) and customers said the HK BT sound better than other Bluetooth headphones. I had considered the Parrot Zik Touch-Activated Bluetooth Headphones (the "Porsche" of wireless headphones), but they didn't match the sound of the HKs. In the end, I want headphones for their sound quality above looks or anything else. So, I went for the HKs (about half the price of the Ziks).

Yes, the HK BTs sound really good for Bluetooth. But (and here's why they don't get 5 stars), when listening to Pandora on my iPhone 4, the wireless connection keeps dropping out (every 10-20 minutes). Other reviewers reported the same issue. That's a problem--something Harman Kardon need to fix right away if they want to stay competitive in the BT headphone market.

One Amazon reviewer (or perhaps it was on the Apple site) mentioned that the HK BTs sounded even better than Bowers & Wilkins P5 Mobile HiFi Stereo Headphones wired headphones (also fold flat and come in a travel bag). I have the P5s, and have enjoyed them for months. I compared the HKs with the B&W P5s, and, while the HKs do sound good--crystal clear mids and highs, and reasonably good bass--they do not sound as good as the P5s (P5 bass is fuller and richer, with really clear mids and highs).

Listening to music, I prefer the P5s over the HK BTs.

Okay, the design seemed a bit weird at first. A rectangular ear cup was not really what I was envisioning for a high end headset design. I trusted the reviews and boy, am I glad I did. I was amazed at the comfort of the headset, and it comes with two headset bars so you can get a very good fit to your specific head type. Then I turned them on. Oh my, the sound quality is absolutely amazing. I listen to everything from Hair band rock to Classical music to Country Western. I find that every genre can sound amazing. I am a long time Bose customer, and I have several corded Bose headsets, and the Harmon Kardon Bluetooth give me close to the same quality as the cabled Bose! The best part is that when I get a phone call I don't have to switch units. Yep, the Harmon Kardon's have a microphone built in, and it provides superb clarity on calls. Overall, these are a two thumbs up for me, both the headset as a music enjoyment device and as a phone headset. Battery life is superb, I got around 4 hours of listening off my first full charge, and I was jamming. These were definitely worth the extra bucks and I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

Seriously, I haven't been this happy about a purchase in a while... I love these things!!!

They sound great, they're comfortable to wear for hours on end, fit nice in my backpack with my laptop... Did I say they sound great? ...they have good range (it's bluetooth after all)... Even the unboxing was a great experience (once I figured out how the box worked...)...

I thought having rectangles on my head were going to be awkward, but they're not.

The ONLY BUMMER is that you can not use the headphones while they are recharging...
