I'm very satisfied with this system. Spent a couple of weeks searching electronics stores and the internet. Was a little leery because I couldn't view the system in real-life before purchase, but have no regrets. Rocks my world with plenty of power to spare, and the box contained EVERYTHING to hook it up. One drawback: The mounting brackets for the satellite speakers have no adjustment for tilt and are designed for the speakers to rest on top. You may have to pop for speaker stands or dream something up to aim them at the listeners position. A minor imposition once you have a chance to hear them.

I was looking for reasonably priced surround sound speakers to pair with my Sony Bravia TV and Sony STR-DG520 A/V receiver. I chose these without doing my due diligence ( listening to them) and am very pleased, so far, with my purchase. Obviously if you are looking at these speakers you should do some more research than I did but even if you dont I think you will be happy. They sound good and look good. One issue is that the powered subwoofer is much larger than I anticipated.

I had this speaker system for about 2 months now and I'm very happy with it. I currently have it hooked up to my AVR 247 and sounds very good. Out of the box, the satellites were a bit bigger than I thought it would be (not that it's a bad thing). The sub could have more bass but it's enough considering the size of my bedroom. Perhaps I'll upgrade with some bigger fronts in the future but for the time being, i'm totally rocking it. it even looks good, too.

I almost want to give these 4 stars because they don't have the range of full sized floor standing speakers. The reason they get a five is bang for the buck. And I hate saying that because it sounds like I'm saying a crappy product that's cheap. Really, these speakers are just amazing. I have them paired up with the HK AVR 254. The highs are crisp and sharp while the sub, albeit only 100 watts, is the best 100 watt sub I've ever heard. Loud, full, deep just like a much higher wattage sub.

This speaker set really is just outstanding not just in performance though. They have a reflective black casing and hard grill making them nearly invisible when watching a movie in the dark, but when the lights are on or the sun is out, the speakers are just really slick looking. HK didn't even spare on packaging supplies. Each speaker was wrapped in a material that felt like silk. Just amazing quality everywhere from performance -> look -> packaging. You just can't go wrong.

Ordered via Amazon. Excellent delivery service. Bought after a few weeks of research looking for smaller sized home theatre speaker system at value price but excellent sound. Very satisfied with purchase. Sound is excellent for price and glad I did not spend more. Like other reviews I read, was surprised at size of subwoofer and ended up having to move it to another corner of the room and do more wiring than planned.
Made 4 stars instead of 5 because speaker mounts only allow allow for rotation from right to left. I figured I could just buy better wall mounts but because speakers require mounting from the bottom, I was unable to find any wall mounts that would work with this non-standard location of the screw placement (these are bottom instead of backside). However, best sound (for rear speakers) in my room setup seems to be when they are pointed directly across the room from each other, so I really did not have a need for better mounts anyway.
Overall really like the sharp style and great sound from such a small set of speakers. The kit comes with plenty of long speaker wires but note you should get speaker wire designed for in wall use to be to code. I ordered all my wire and accessories such as banana plugs and wall plates from mycablemart.com as I thought their prices were good, but there are lots of places to order this stuff. I would recommend this purchase for the value-oriented consumer looking for good home theatre sound and a fair price assuming you couple it with a good AV receiver (I coupled this with an Onkyo TX-SR606).

After a lot of online research and customer reviews from various sources, including consumerreports[...] on the best home theater systems & speakers, Onkyo was rated the best receiver and Harmon Kardon the best speakers in terms of price, quality and features. Believe me, HK was rated better than Bose...which is three times the price! This was my first A/V receiver purchase (Onkyo TX-SR606) and HTIB system combined w/HK speakers which I purchased at Amazon too. Easy install instructions. I have a 46" Samsung 1080p LCD HDTV which was connected with one HDMI input from the receiver. The cable box and the Sony PS (can be used as a Blue Ray player) was connected to the receiver with HDMI cables. I also connected an optical cable to the TV for audio playback, if necessary. HK speakers come with enough wires, but I bought 14guage speaker wires from Flatwire[...] and concealed the wires myself. The Flatire speaker wires, a bit pricey (u can buy 12,14,18 guage), are paper thin and can be installed & concealed on the wall surface w/o having to cut thru walls. HK speaker sound is amazing. Beware, the sub-woofer has to be kept under control, the sucker will blow your room....! Just kidding. My room is average size so I keep the SW level at a quarter of its full potential! Speakers and SW look very sleek and aesthetic. The only problem I found was the HK speaker mounts were not very easy to install. But not a major issue. Overall, Harmon-Kardon has kept its reputation of quality and value. Highly recommended.

I just installed my second surround sound system in my house. I previously had put 5.1 in my bedroom and just this weekend put 7.1 in the family room. Both are powered by the Harman Kardon AVR-254 (which is awesome) Harman Kardon AVR-254 7x50W 7.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver with HDMI 1.3a Repeater. I bought this HKTS-15 speaker package because I wanted to have a matched system and thought that Harman speakers with Harman AVR should work well. Boy does it ever.

First of all, I was skeptical that the tiny center channel speaker (dual 3.5 inch drivers) would be adequate. My other system uses the terrific Sony SS-CN5000 Dual 5.25 inch Center Channel Speaker Sony SS-CN5000 Dual 5.25" Center Channel Speaker and it really has great sound. But I have to say, the dialog out of the center channel with the HKTS 15 system sounds even better. We used just TV speakers before, where the dialog was often so muddy that we had to have the volume way up just to figure out what people were saying. Now the dialog is crystal clear and doesn't have to be so loud. Our AVR (and I am sure all of them do this) allows us to set volume levels on individual speakers so we set the center channel exactly where we wanted it for best dialog reproduction. Do not think this speaker is too small to give you the sound you are looking for.

Secondly, the subwoofer is plenty powerful enough to shake things up. I watched the Balrog scene from LOTR I and the bass was wild. It is a downfiring subwoofer which means three sides are smooth (the back is full of connections, power cord, switches, etc.) so it kind of looks like a little table. It has a cool white light "dot" on the top to let you know it is powered up. It can be set to only come on when it gets a signal, so the light will let you know it is working (I leave mine on all the time, it doesn't really use much power).

Third, the installation was pretty easy. People on here have complained about the brackets but I found that they worked really well. One thing, they are designed to work where the wires come right out of the wall behind the wall bracket. I didn't have that situation, mine came down from the ceiling molding. So I CAREFULLY drilled two holes in the top of each plastic bracket so I could still get the wires inside as shown in the instructions (versus coming in from the open back). I then threaded them up through the collar and was able to use the whole bracket as instructed and have the connections hidden by the mounting system. It looks terrific.

Fourth, the speaker wire supplied is not in-wall grade wire so I would not use that speaker wire if you are going in wall or under carpet. But the included subwoofer wire is perfectly fine and color coded (purple) for idiot proof connecting. Subwoofer cables cost $20+ so having the included one is terrific. In wall speaker wire you can buy at home depot or Frys. Don't buy at BB or other electronics stores, as they will overcharge you.

Fifth, as others have mentioned here, the speakers are gorgeous. Even my wife likes the look of them (and is glad I hid the wires behind the moulding). I couldn't be happier and am really glad that I chose these speakers.

Great sound at this price. Only complaint is the mounting options. If this is your price range, this is a good set to buy.

I bought this speaker system for immersion in video games, however it performs with everything I throw at it. I bought it at a steal as the price was basically what I would have paid for a 100 watt subwoofer anywhere else, but got 5 nice speakers to come with it! The only con to this system is my own laziness in not wanting to go behind the subwoofer to turn it off, but plenty of AV receivers have an electrical port that will cut power to the sub when the receiver's power is turned off. Now I just need a place with no neighbors to REALLY use this system to it's fullest capability!

the set of horns Harman Kardon home theater is the most resemblance to the reality of a sound in cinema, and I dare say that even better. The films get a feeling of absolute realism. The music concert makes you feel as if you were in the same salon where the music was recorded. We all components that brings the theater in a box at home is enough to unpack and install, they do not need anything extra just the tool for placing the speakers wall and a bit of subtlety where to place the cables. If you want to get a quality, lightness and power of sound does not cease to obtain a set of horns harman kardon.
