It sounds like some of the other reviewers had one-off issues with the wireless. I had no problems hooking these speakers up to my macbook pro and getting great sound.

On the sound, I'm not sure if it's the speakers' unique design or the specific components, or a mixture, but these speakers pump out loud, crystal clear audio. I mainly use them for watching movies through my computer and listening to music. Good bass response for hip hop and great range for more subtle / mid-range frequency music like classical or acoustic.

Overall, excellent speakers and I'm really happy with wireless - keeps my desk uncluttered.

I have the original sound sticks from back in 2006 and I LOVED THEM. They still work, and I had no intention of replacing them till I saw that these are WIRELESS and BLUETOOTH! These are awesome. I love these, the wireless connection is a synch. The range works really well, I can play from so far away, multiple rooms away, through multiple walls.

I highly recommend these!

Shawn

I am no audiophile, but holy Cr**p these things are amazing. Using a Macbook Pro via bluetooth and I have no volume issues. It gets louder than I would ever use it. I don't write many reviews but I am so pleased with this purchased I thought id throw in my .02 cents.

Also for the apple folks having crackling popping issues via bluetooth its not the speakers its the bit rate default settings set by apple. Google and download Pref Setter its free. Once Launched Turn off your bluetooth completely off. Locate com.apple.bluetoothaudioagent First two Bit pool settings should be Bitpool max I changed that to 80 and 2nd should be Bitpool min I changed that to 40. Haven't had the issues since doing this.

I noticed a review here that suggested some may want to adjust the bluetooth bit rate by downloading some software that is not in the Apple App store. So, I want to post how to do the same thing without downloading some unknown software:

You don't need to download this unknown software. The software mentioned in the earlier review is not in the Apple App store, so I don't recommend using it. Particularlly because you can modify these setting without any additional software.

Here is how to read and adjust these settings on your own:
In finder, search for and open Terminal
In the terminal window type: defaults read com.apple.BluetoothAudioAgent (this will show your current settings)

If you choose to adjust them, in the same terminal window type: defaults write com.apple.BluetoothAudioAgent "Apple Bitpool Min (editable)" 40

Just replace min with max and 40 with whatever value you desire

My brother had the older version,Soundsticks III, and he absolutely loved them. I decided to get one for me when I bought my MacBook Air. I was amazed by the clarity and deep bass. No matter what type of music I play, the Soundsticks Wireless definitely sounds great. It works with my iPad 2!

Just received these speakers today. They sound and LOOK fantastic! But Apple users BEWARE....I loose bluetooth connection when using my iPhone 5 (ios 6.1.2) after about 5-10 minutes. The only fix is to turn the sub-woofer off and back on and then it will reconnect. After a little internet investigating, it looks as though the new ios (6) must have a bug. Users of the older version (ios 5) had no problems until they updated their software. It does it continuously so it makes the bluetooth feature virtually useless with Apple products with the new operating system. I have a Samsung tablet and it works great with this brand. I am hoping Apple finds a fix and sends an update to their operating system...

I spoke to Harman Kardon technical support and inquired that I'd like to have the Soundsticks wireless speakers connected to my TV set via the wired 1/8" audio jack and also be able to wirelessly stream music from my iPad and iPhone when I choose to (obvioulsy not at the same time). I was told that in order to wirelessly stream, I'd have to physically disconnect the audio cable from my TV. Sadly this won't work for me. It would be a nuisance to have to do that each time I'd like to use the speaker with my AV system or then stream music wirelessly. HK should design these with a switch to select input options (wired or bluetooth).

I have the wired and the bluetooth versions of these speakers. I use the bluetooth version for music for my martial arts school ([...]). The beauty of it is that when I do seminars, I can grab the speakers and my phone and I'm good to go. The speakers are small but very powerful. The base response is amazing. The speakers look stunning as well, so they can be put on "display" so to speak. I get many comments on how cool the speakers look,as well as how amazing the sound is when streaming from my phone.

The Harman Kardon Wireless Bluetooth Soundsticks are awesome, the sound is crystal clear. It's perfect for watching movies and even for a party! The sound quality is uncomparable... the comfort that the brings you going around the house with your tablet or mobile and still listening to music is priceless. If you buy it, you' ll never regret it.

I was set on the Soundstick III and when this came out I decided to pay the extra money for the wireless. NOT worth it. In Bluetooth mode, there was a HUGE degradation in both overall volume and sound quality which means that I'll never use the Bluetooth function b/c it just sounds like crap.

Contrary to a previous reviewer, I actually had no problem syncing my MacBook pro to the speakers via Bluetooth. As these are recommended/sold on the Mac website, I'm pretty sure they'll work with Mac products, but for the added cost, it's not even close to worth it.
