This is an excellent guided CD. It includes an informative but not overly wordy instructional track. And then there are a handful of different chakra balancing exercises, one of which is guided. It's great because you can choose which track(s) you want to listen to or tone with. I like to program my CD player to play my favorite chakra balancing tracks followed by one of the exceptional didgeridoo tracks included on the CD. I never get bored because I can vary the style of the chakra balance I do from day to day! And because each track is a recording of a whole group of people toning together, I feel like I am part of this choir and so it feels less intimidating for me to actually use my voice and tone outloud! I would definitely recommend this CD for anyone who wants to learn more about toning for health. I think it is perfect both for beginners and for people more experienced with sacred sound and toning.

I'm sad to see only 2 reviews for this c.d. because it really is one of the best Chakra balancing/toning c.d's out there. I hesitated for a while because I hadn't heard of this woman, there was only 2 reviews and the price was a little steep when one is trying to budget. I wished there were some 'samples' to listen to, but alas no. So it was a leap in the dark. I'm pleased to say I was not disappointed.

What do I like: Well, it's a very "organice experience". You hear people settling in their seats, you hear the "echo-ish" sound of their voices in the room or hall. You hear the intake of breath and there is a real sense of the 'individual' within a group toning together. Patrice voice is very calm and centered. It is so different from the 'digitized, electronic, acoustically balanced, techno-sized' productions that are on the market these days. I have purchased one from Deepak Chopra (which I like, but it's very moog synthesizer sounding) and another from Glenn Harold, which is based on guided imagery and 'hypnotherapy' technique, and also very electronically co-ordinated. Okay if you need that to get you started, but I like this one much, much better.

As stated in the previous reviews, you can pick the type of toning you want, vowels, sanskrit, long or short versions. I too like the didgeridoo pieces - what an awesome sound they make! Anyway, all in all, excellent c.d. and one I was looking for.

this CD is PERFECT for someone who wants to create a daily/weekly/monthly toning practice for herself/himself and who likes the company of other voices... i like that i can choose (based on CD tracks) what kind of chakra balance i am in the mood for (vowels vs. sanskrit sounds, long vs. short, etc.). i can play the CD with full volume and imagine i am in the inner chamber of a pyramid, or i can play the CD softly for guidance but still be concentrating on my own sounds. this CD is an invaluable tool for my toning practice... i highly recommend it!
