Jerry Adler, the younger brother of harmonica virtuoso Larry Adler, presents us with an outstanding CD proving that he's an amzingly talented harmonica master in his own right. Leaning heavily on a repertoire of classic Gershwin and other show tunes, Adler demonstrates a technique that many aspiring harmonica players should be listening to.Adler began his career as a harmonica soloist shortly after his brother. Over the years he's played with orchestras and in numerous movies like "Shane", "Pot O' Gold" and "The Alamo". This CD demonstrates the harmonica's versatility, working both with orchestra and with a small jazz combo. I strongly recommend this album to anybody who is interested in hearing what the harmonica is capable of in the hands of a master player.
