Book Description

October 1, 2002

The idea of reading cards to give guidance on the future is not new. Many, such as the tarot, go back hundreds or even thousands of years and are believed not only to tell fortunes, but also hold ancient secrets.

Harmony Angel Cards also contain much old wisdom. They are designed with the help of angels to help you heal and can be especially powerful when used in conjunction with A Harmony of Angels, also by Angela McGerr. Together, they set out to create synergy between you and the angels who are seeking to help you.

Covered in indigo silk, The Harmony Angel Cards beautiful boxed set holds a deck of 48 cards featuring enchanting, full-color illustrations by Richard Rockwood and an instruction book. The book describes the overall meaning of the four suits and the inherent meaning of each card, as well as several different ways of laying them out with sample interpretations. The set offers a fun and effective way for angel enthusiasts to incorporate a little angel healing into their lives.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool Cards!, June 1, 2007

(TOP 500 REVIEWER)    (VINE VOICE)
This review is from: Harmony Angel Cards (Cards)
These are realy cool! I also have the "Heart and Soul Angel Cards". (Of these 2 sets, if I was only getting one, I would get "Heart and Soul Angel Cards"--but both are really good.) I kinda got both sets by accident, if there really is such a thing. I am in One Spirit Book Club and they came because I forgot to cancel the upcoming selection. Then I was gonna return them but some little voice said "Open the box" (rather loudly when I tried to ignore it, too). The minute I saw them, I loved them. I have other cards, but these 2 sets are better. They seem to provide more meaningful info, at least more meaningful to me. Yeah, they are pretty too, but BESIDES that. . .

Like all these cards, there is the deck plus a book to provide more info than that on the card. The book says this deck relates to self-healing. Then it talks about 8 chakras. It then tells you how to do various card layouts and readings (1, 4, 7, or 12 cards). There are 4 groups of cards, distinguishable by the front of the cards, so a 4 card draw (1 from each set) is said to provide a complete message. It would be like drawing one heart, spade, club and diamond from a regular deck.

So you draw some cards and see what you get. You can ask a question first, or you can ask for general guidance. You draw the number of cards the book tells you to, or that you believe appropriate. Personally, I like to do things by the number 3, but the book says a 4-card draw is a complete message. So, lets say you shuffle and draw 4 cards.

I just drew "Muriel--the zodiac angel of cancer--for issues of reticence (I think I need a dictionary), self-reliance and contentment. There is a full page of very small print that follows that tells you what the card means. I tell you what, it sure rings right with me. I mentally asked for general guidance right before I pulled these 4 cards. Laugh if you want, but the answers I just received mean something to me. One of many things said here is that I often don't say what I should because I don't want to hurt somebody's feelings. (YEP! That's me. I can't really lie, so I'll hedge all around the cat's barn to NOT say something negative.)

I also drew "Achaiah--the angel of patience and secrets of nature--the card of calmness, cosmic unity and understanding" which talks about "oneness and collective consciousness" (yesterday, from the Heart and Soul cards, I drew 2 cards on oneness.) This whole writeup is meaningful to me and talks about things I have been doing. Next, I drew "Melchisadec's Labyrinth--the card of wholeness and spiritual fulfillment". It talks about a symbolic journey inside yourself, leading to spiritual fulfillment--the path of light--the Sacred Seven and/within Sacred Geometry and Seven Chakras. Yes, this card was meaningful.

Last card was "Raphael--Angel ruler of Sunday, the sun, and the yellow-gold ray--the card of healing, energy science and knowledge". Yes, Raphael is the patron saint of healers (and, I am a Reiki Master--Reiki is an Eastern energy discipline, used to heal).

Whether you believe in using these cards for guidance or you just want to play with them, they are cool to have--and this set is really nice. I'll tell you this, though, I have drawn from the deck several times, and so far, I have received what I believe to be useful guidance.

OK, so if you think I'm nuts, that's OK. Normal? Been there. Done that. It's overrated!

If nothing else, play with the cards to awaken your inner child, so he/she can play once in awhile. People are too darned serious and too darned stressed these days. Make NO mistake, stress can kill you; stress has the potential to become and mimick any disease and often seems to manifest cancer. Work on eliminating stress, especially stress over dumb stuff. LET IT GO!!! And let a little piece of you come out and play once in awhile, and DARE TO IMAGINE, like you did when you were a child.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love them too!, May 19, 2007

Again, I bought this set for a friend with similar belief and that was an angel to me mentoring me to a new position. They are great to use alone--many days I pick just one for my message for the day or more of a reading if I'm guided to do so. Don't need the book to enjoy the cards but they are a great compliment to each other.
