This is a great series of pattern books, but be warned - although Volumes 1 and 2 have different covers, the content of the books is identical.

This book is a very complete guide to knitting stitches, with good pictures and detailed instructions. Stitches are grouped by type, making it easy to find the style you are looking for. The instructions are easy to adapt to the size that you need. Some of the yarn colors used in the sample pictures don't do justice to the beauty of the patterns. Overall, a wonderful book for beginners who want to see a variety of different knitting styles, and also for experts designing their own patterns.

I found this book to be very detailed in the descriptions, the photographs are nice and crisp. So far I have done at least a dozen different stitches and haven't found any errors. The book is easy to read and there are stitches from beginners to experts alike.

I was not pleased with the condition of the book I ordered. It had been 3 holed punched, therefore 6 items per page were missing the information I was looking for. I did not expect the book to be in new condition,however, I did expect to be able to read it.
