WOW! This story reads like a movie. I could see the action in my head, I could smell the barn, and I heard the soundtrack in my head as I turned every page. This book transports you back in time to the start of the Harlem Renaissance. The action in this book makes your heart race and your soul cry. The words on the page are sophisticated and the feelings so raw and unadulterated it reads like poetry.

Harmony loved so completely. She would do anything to save the people she loved. She gave new meaning to the term "ride or die chick". Vinnie was her equal in so many ways; he loved her so desperately regardless of the color of her skin. I continue to be amazed at his "forsake all others" to be with his woman. By the end of the story you are asking yourself who is saving who? I was so sucked into the story I wanted to pick up the gun and enter the gun battle to help these two.

While this story takes you through the gang wars in New York in the 1920's the story remains relevant and alive. The romance stays front and center and keeps reminding you it's a love story. A love story so spellbinding that I won't ever forget it.

Sienna Mynx is not just at the top of her game she is dominating and changing the game. Harmony is literary genius. While a thing of fiction as the author tells us in the beginning, you are able to get a glimpse into what life was like for blacks in the 1920's living in Harlem. There is nothing like learning a bit of history while falling in love at the hands of an extraordinary book. This book was so worth waiting for and it far surpassed any expectation I had. BRAVO! 50+ STARS!!!!

Okay, people, Sienna shut it down with this one!!!! I purchased this book without reading the sample, the first time I have ever done such a thing. Man, what an amazing story!! The passion, lust, sex, romance, love, hate, intrigue, loyalty, betrayal, action, and several jaw dropping scenes that will leave you speechless!! Sienna threw in everything, including the kitchen sink!!!!!

It took me about an hour to finish the first chapter, not because it was that long, but because I just kept re-reading it!! That woman is an unbelievable writer! I felt like I had been transported to the 1920s and was sitting myself front and center in The Cotton Club! I could feel the energy from the jazz band and see the brightness of the spotlight on Harmony's face and smell the distinct aroma of the cigar smoke and taste the burn of the whiskey going down.......yes, I was so there!!!!! There was another scene when the H/H had a picnic and I swear I could hear the flapping wings of the butterflies and the rustling leaves of the tree branches as those birds took flight! Sienna's writing just gets better and better with every book!

This story really had it all! I was on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. Just when you thought you had it all figured out, Sienna threw you another curve ball. I just can't say enough great things about this one. The heroine and hero were made for one another! The passion, the love, the freaking amazing sex - they had it all! I have read all of Sienna's books and loved each and every heroine/hero, but this couple right here holds a special place in my heart, mostly because of their actions in the last few chapters. The love and loyalty that heroine had for her man - she was truly a Ride or Die chick! And that hero!!!! There's one scene in the book where a line is crossed that cemented his place in my heart forever! I knew it was coming, but I was still shocked and all I could say was "d@mn"!

I have been impatiently waiting for this book to be released since I first read about it on Sienna's site last year and it went above and beyond all my expectations!!! This is one book that no one should pass up. Standing ovation for this one, Sienna!!!

Three and a half stars to Sienna Mynx's "Harmony". This story made me more open to reading romance set in the 1920's. It's one of my least fave periods of history. But for a IR historical piece, it was more historically accurate than some other historical IR stories I've come across (They shall not be named).

There were no long drawn out inner dialogues/ monologues in this entire story. The characters spoke like how I imagined they spoke back in that time. Another pro of this story is Sienna Mynx's writing. The woman will suck you in. She has a gift and it shone throughout the story.

Right so my issues with the story...Harmony. She got on my nerves quite a few times and at one point SPOILER ALERT: I actually cheered her getting beaten because this broad can not be this dense. (I do not condone domestic violence).

Vinnie even admitted in the story my first gripe I had with her..."She didn't become his willingly. He exploited her desperation to find her brother to lure her into his bed." I understand this was a main plot point but seriously Harmony seemed to think she was invincible at one point and it got on my nerves.

Also, I kind of guessed who was the antagonist from the beginning and figured out who was behind what.

I am happy to report the story is a HEA but boy is the road to the HEA one paved with blood, bruises and tears.
