Great Kitchen Tool
I really like my Amish Cake Tester. It has so many bristles (I'm going to venture a guess of about 200 bristles), it is going to take a long time to use this up. The bristles are really easy to snap off so you don't have to fumble around trying to get one while juggling a hot cake with the other hand and I like the fact that it is safe for the environment. It looks cute...

not what I hoped for
This product looks great but does not work. I have used it several times now and the sticks always come out clean. Even when the cake is not done, the stick comes out clean.

I really like my Amish Cake Tester. It has so many bristles (I'm going to venture a guess of about 200 bristles), it is going to take a long time to use this up. It looks cute hanging on the wall near my stove.

I like the design. Can hang it in the kitchen. The only reason for lower than 5 is because removal of the straw use to be easier. My husband liked it for cake testing like his grandmother use to do. My aunt tried it and liked it just like her mother's testing. However, she had the same problem of removing one straw.
