Diahann does Harold Arlen Justice, June 18, 2001
Man, I can not get enought of Diahann Carroll singing. Just wish more of her lp's were available. But, this will keep me going for a long while. Backed by the Ralph Burns Orchestra Diahann belts out 12 standards from the great Harold Arlen. Standout cuts are What's Good About Goodbye, It's Only A Paper Moon, Come Rain or Come Shine and Down With Love....Well u get the picture. A must have for Diahann and Harold Arlen fans.
Complete Track Listing:
It's Only A Paper Moon, What's Good About Goodbye, A Sleeping Bee, My Shining Hour, Hit The Road To Dreamland, Over The Rainbow, Come Rain Or Come Shine, You're A Builder-Upper, Out Of This World, I Wonder What Became Of Me, Down With Love, Let's Take The Long Way Home

Worth the money., January 21, 2003
By A Customer
Here's an import that's worth every penny. Diahann had a really fine voice, supported here by excellent Ralph Burns arrangements. She does an excellent job on some lesser-known Arlen tunes, like You're a Builder-Upper and What's Good About Goodbye, and thoroughly proves that A Sleepin' Bee, memorably recorded by many, from Torme to Streisand to Nancy Wilson to Bill Henderson, is really owned by the woman who introduced it in House of Flowers. Now the question is why aren't the albums Diahann did with Andre Previn on cd yet?
