The Squirrel Nutcracker should be listed and sold only as a novelty. The functionality of this product is quite disappointing. I have used this nutcracker on hazel nuts, almonds, walnuts and pecans and have found it to be quite inadequate for the task. Perhaps it could be used as gag gift.

This little guy is really cute. We have a forest theme going in our house so I thought he'd be perfect . . . and he is for a decoration. About the only nut you can actually crack with it is a walnut. He can't hold almonds, hazelnuts, pecans, etc. And he's even difficult to use for a walnut. My kids still think he's adorable and attempt to feed him still. But he just sits out in front of our bowl of nuts and watches us use a "real" nutcracker to crack the nuts.

This device does not work and you can hurt your fingers. Its the worst cruck nuts I ever tried.

Only thing this is good for cracking is walnuts. Which isn't a real problem for me since those are the only ones I eat. But not for any other kind.

I got this nut cracker with two others because the each do better in some way. This one is perfect for walnuts. Not very good with small nuts.

This is the worst thing that I have bought on Amazon. I was looking for a nutcracker that would handle small nuts and not pinch fingers. This one fails on both counts. Poorly designed and made. Look up "junk" in the dictionary and you will probably find a picture of it.
