I live in Alaska and pick thousands of berries every year for homemade jam. This is the first berry picker I have ever owned but am glad I bought it. It seems to be made of good quality material. I was worried at first because the wire rack bend easily but then they also bend back to place just as easy. It leaves about 80% of the leaves and sticks out. Of course when the bushes are wet then more leaves will get inside. My only problem with this picker is that it is unable to get the stems off the berries but I dont think i will find a picker that can do that. This works great for salmonberries, huckleberries and blueberries!

We just used it for huckleberry picking, but, because of the late cold - there were not as many as normal and they were a lot smaller. When we tried using this picker, the berries would usually smush right back out onto the branch or get smushed with all the leaves and go right back out with that little branch. However, on a few bushes, we were able to see how it could be great if there were more & larger berries.
