LOVE IT! This is my second one! I had my first for many years and literally wore it out. It is a great help in the kitchen if you make lots of soup stocks or stews. I hate the fat on my broth and don't like to have to wait until it chills to congeal on top, in order to skim it off. With this you can just brush the surface and truly wipe away the fat! I recommend it!

This does the job that it is designed to do. Would recommend this item. I have used my fat mop for removing excess grease from soups, gumbos or stews. It is less time consuming than trying to skim the grease with a spoon and clean up is a sinch!

It gets very greasy, does not pick up all the fat, and it's difficult to clean. Better to use a slotted spoon, and much cheaper

This works GREAT! Instead of dipping grease off the top of a boiler full of homemade spaghetti or other meat sauce, I just mop around the top, then squeeze the grease into a paper cup (using the built-in squeegee) for disposal.

You do not need to be careful at all---only the grease sticks to the mop. Usually two or three moppings gets all of the grease floating on the surface.

When you are done, just run the mop through the dish washer and it comes out clean and ready for the next time.

Fabulous kitchen tool! Skims fat/grease off tops of soups & stews - the nylon bristles capture the grease which can then be discarded in a separate bowl by easing the sleeve down over the bristles to squeeze off the grease. Repeat to remove almost ALL grease! Ingenious! Clean bristles with a sponge & some Dawn dish washing liquid first, rinse well, then put wand (bristles up) into dish washer. Let bristles dry fully before closing sleeve to store.

If you love to cook, this the best thing for removing grease off the tops off of spaghetti sauce, soups, gravies, etc. had one years ago and lost it in my move. Bought one four of them to give as gifts. So happy to have it back. Do not use in hot grease!!!

Does absorb grease as advertised and cleans relatively well. A working 'wringing' aspect would be GREATLY appreciated, though as most applications require more than a single sweep of the surface.
