5.0 out of 5 stars Buy This CD!!, September 5, 2009
This review is from: Harp & Plow (Audio CD)
Marc Copley is still an undiscovered American Gem. He has sustained a cult following since his major label debut in 2002. This guy is the real deal. Pick up (both)his debut effort "Limited Lifetime Guarantee" and this new record. If you like the roots, you will be asking yourself, "why didn't I know about this guy"? Harp & Plow is an amazing record from top to bottom!

5.0 out of 5 stars A truly refreshing album!, July 25, 2009

This review is from: Harp & Plow (Audio CD)
Marc Copely took the chance to depart from the mainstream, and the result is a brilliant compilation of unflinching truths. Personally like the surrealist "Disarray" and the 60's reminiscent "Witness" - but the contrasting jams, like "What Might Have Been" and the title track "Harp & Plow" are equally mesmerizing and engaging. Little blues gems like "Burn Me Clean" and "Let It Come Down" make this album a rare diamond in the rough.

5.0 out of 5 stars Harp & Plow is true to it's roots!, July 17, 2009

This is a record needed in a time of drum machines, loops and protool edits. Marc's playing is at top form from start to finish. The recording has a golden age feel and invites you in to each song. Great songs and great playing from all the musicians involved. It is a departure from his RCA recording and one has to wonder if this is the record he wanted to record in the first place! Fans of the first record will love this one even more. You'll find these songs are more intimate and personal! You get to hear Marc's playing at it's best! Roots rock meets singer/songwriter craftmanship. 5 stars!!!
