I had hoped for more of a "how-to" with this book: how-to wear them, how-to put things together into outfits. It turned out to be mostly just a collection of photos though. I also felt that most of the styles shown were way too "current" for the book to be valid even in a year's time. I will stick to the column in the magazine from now on, as it changes monthly.

Skip this book altogether!!! You will learn nothing new and most of the fashions shown are too trendy to have any relevance beyond the current season. Some of the clothing is so ridiculous at any age that you will not only not be fabulous but you will be laughed at.

Lots of pictures, ideas, outfit alternatives.

It is separated by age and garments, so it's easy to find what you need.

Totally recommended for some help on closet organizing.

My love for Harper's Bazaar is long held. It was my first fashion magazine and remains one of my absolute favorites.

I read this book in a little over an hour. I examined every page but spent most of my time studying my "age category." Sadly, I didn't learn much. I formed an idea or two for a couple outfits, but I get that from an average magazine... I do not think it is much of a "Guide" or a how-to. It was very much a let down, especially considering Harpers Bazaar attached their name to it. Unless you want a hardback, expensive magazine, there are many more helpful books in this category of fashion and personal style out there.

It's a beautiful book to look through, but unlike competing books in this genre, it has no new information on age-appropriate style. Also disappointing is the lack of informational credits on designers or where to buy.

I received this book yesterday and am somewhat speechless. I really liked Bazaar's Great Style, which had helpful information and photos. Fabulous at Any Age just seems like a bunch of photos the magazine didn't know what to do with, so someone tried to create a book around them. There are lots of weird and impractical outfits, on the fashion models (they look like runway photos) and on the celebrities, and I really could not find anything I was remotely interested in wearing or simply admiring. Not helpful for age appropriate ideas at all - I can't see much difference in any of the bizarre get-ups for various ages. I will avoid anything by these authors in the future, but maybe give other Bazaar authors a chance since I usually like it. Regarding lack of minorities mentioned by one reviewer; there were some minorities represented by the fashion/runway models--maybe not enough, but that is the least of this book's worries.

good, but could have used much more minority fashion idols. Blacks are barely represented, this one does have Queen Latifah, and Halle Berry, and the three others books of this type have almost no minority fashion idols. The only Latina fashion icon is Jennifer Lopez or Salma Heyek, come on, people, there are many, many lovely Asian, Latina and other women of color out there.

I expected the book to have more practical advice about aging well in general. But it was all about fashion and featured looks only found on celebrities. I thought it was going to deal with hair, skin and exercise -- but it focused more on fashion.
