Harriers are a rare breed in the US, this book gives you lots of information about the dogs and contains some beautiful photographs! It covers what the breed's history is, what they are like to live with, how to care for them, and demonstrates the dog's abilities with information about harrier packs, agility, obedience, and therapy work. There is also information about the harrier's health concerns and what to look for when you purchase a harrier puppy. If you are thinking about a harrier, you NEED this book!

I live on the acreage next to one of the authors. Our hearts were melted by this wonderful breed of dogs. We now have a rescued Harrier of our own or perhaps it would be more accurate to say she has us. I was very impressed with how straight forward and factual this book was written. If you want to know about Harrier's....history, breeding, showing, care and loving this is a great book for you.

I bought this book and I read the entire book (93 pages, with children's book size font) I can't say it took long. There were some nice pictures in it, but nothing you can't find on the web. This is just a small coffee table book. If you are interested in Harriers and want to learn about them, search the web instead.
