5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent
As expected, Harrison proved it to be the best book for Medicine ever. Now in color. The font has been changed so that the strain to your eyes is less. New edition feels very comfortable to read for long time. DVD included. Lot of new topics. Excellent. Must of all IM residents

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor Customer Service
I would very much have actually liked to use this product. Unfortunately, after ordering the "2 volume set," I received only 1 volume. And while the product description mentions a DVD, no such DVD came accompanying this book.

In addition, I received poor customer service from phone support and e-mail.

If you want this book, DON'T BUY IT FROM...

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, May 10, 2008
This review is from: Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine (2 Vol Set) (Hardcover)
The new edition of Harrisons is completely revised. The font is more eye friendly and it incorporates new colour diagrams that supplements the text perfectly. There is no need to rate the content of harrison, the whole medical community considers it the bible of the medical students and general practitioners.

5.0 out of 5 stars Harrison's, March 25, 2008
This review is from: Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine (2 Vol Set) (Hardcover)
It is just as well written as the rest, but has many new pictures, and more chapters. Haven't used the dvd yet. But so far I love it. But I'm a harrison's guy. This is the best one yet.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Medicine, May 10, 2008
This review is from: Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine (2 Vol Set) (Hardcover)
It's the continuation of a great legacy, i'm impressed with these 17th edition, it gives you the latest info on Internal Medicine, reliable, well organized, very practical, easy to understand, and the DVD source is a good extra bonus.
I'm a PERUvian medical student, and despite of our reality about infectious diseases is pretty different from developed countries, Harrison still being one of the best choices on the field like Cecil, my other bible of the same religion.

Having Harrison's in a two volume set makes using it much more convenient. My wife, the physician has rheumatoid arthritis and trying to lug the single volume edition off the shelf for reference, was painful. The two volume set contains evrything the single does, even up-dated, but is lighter to use.

5.0 out of 5 stars Two Vol is great, September 13, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine (2 Vol Set) (Hardcover)
The two volume Harrison's hard cover is really a huge improvement over past editions. It now has color pictures, and is easier to read than older editions. It did come with two volumes. Each one has an index, so you can search either book, and go to the appropriate page number. The other version is just too big to carry around, and it is harder to hold the giant book. This book also has the DVD with more colored pics. You might want to confirm with seller if purchasing used if it comes with both volumes, since some people have had problems with that.

5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST FOR ANY MEDICAL STUDENT, March 16, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine (2 Vol Set) (Hardcover)
Needless to introduce Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine to the group of professionals who need it the most: doctors. It is a must for medical students anywhere in the world. Graduated and Post-graduated physicians often have one edition at home. In terms of Internal Medicine, you can say it's the most complete textbook available.
